Enjoy the private library, the beautiful stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace, and the custom-built porch extension. When you’re not fishing at Blue Ridge Lake, unwind in the hot tub while listening to the wind rustling through the trees.

The kitchen is equipped with impressive appliances and amenities, including stainless steel cookware, to help you create tonight’s culinary masterpiece.

Visit Blue Ridge for a variety of restaurants, wineries, and family-friendly activities.
**During winter months it is recommended to have 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive as roads can ice over with snow accumulation.**
No fireworks, or other explosives of any kind are allowed to be discharged on the property grounds. Smoking is not allowed inside the cabin. We do not tolerate parties, or any other activity that might disturb neighbors.

QUIET HOURS. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM each night and continue until sunrise. Quiet hours consist of no music and keeping all audio at a minimum level out of respect for the surrounding residents.

The stay was great. My wife and I enjoyed it. Only downside is the bathroom upstairs. The shower is stained and the shower curtain could be changed. It had hard water stains and dirt and mold on the bottom of the shower curtain.

Disappointing, like someone quit trying

Initially seems charming, but close inspection reveals neglect. It felt hastily wiped down rather than thoroughly cleaned before our stay. Thick dust, cobwebs, dirty dishes, bugs in the bathtub jets, a filthy toilet, and an unusable hot tub made for a far less pleasant stay than anticipated. Hot tub water was green when we got there, though we were told it had just been sterilized. When properly cleaned on Day 4 after no use by us, the grime wiped out was disgusting! Filters were broken, jets barely worked, and the temperature was locked at 99F—lukewarm at best. The deck railing had 4-6 foot sections of missing vertical pickets, leaving dangerous gaps on the second story. Rotted pickets had fallen onto the ground below, raising concerns about structural integrity. Inside, the dishwasher’s kickplate kept falling off, a stair nail repeatedly popped up catching our socks/feet, faucets dripped constantly, and thick cobwebs were in very visible places (eye level by front door, for example). The cookware was old, chipped Teflon, and dirty. The carpet’s underlayment was warped, creating trip hazards. Towels were old, dingy, and worn-out, so we bought our own. We had looked forward to the fireplace but, given the overall neglect, didn’t trust its safety. Location and neighborhood are lovely, and this cabin was likely once a gem. But whoever manages it clearly doesn’t care. We expected cleanliness and functional amenities—basic standards that weren’t met.

The cabin was nice, but there needs to be more lights that work. Also, some of the outlets did not work and the hot tub would be nicer if there was a privacy panel that blocked the lights from the cabin across the road.There was also some water on the floor of the basement bathroom but since there was no light we could not see where it came from

Great Property

We stayed here for 4 nights. The cabin was bigger than it appears online and very spacious. Saw deer in the backyard after 10 minutes of check-in. The kids loved the Foosball table and pool table. We loved sitting in the hot tub at night with all the stars overhead. Will stay again.

The location of Safe Haven is awesome. It is in a gated neighborhood but still feels remote. We loved the 15 minute ride to downtown Blue Ridge. We stayed over Thanksgiving and there was a turkey pan on the counter for us...loved that little hospitable touch. The house was good. We really enjoyed the cold weather and having a wood burning fireplace. The hot tub and downstairs game room were other great features we enjoyed. Safe Haven could use a good deep clean. I found a lot of collected dust in the kitchen and bathrooms but overall was clean enough. The amenities were basic...thin towels, old washcloths and a few hotel sample toiletry items. All that is to say that I would stay here again but with the proper expectations.

Location, location, location

This is a great property with everything you need to have a fun and relaxing time. What we love the most is the location. You are 15-20 minutes from all of our favorite towns! We would definitely stay here again, but the beds are excessively firm and I think the sheets had been stored too long and needed to be washed before used. Overall great stay and great time.
