Nice spacious hut with fans to keep you cool. Good to have a mosquito net too.The whole place is very clean and the owner is really friendly and helpful. There is a kayak and snorkel gear to borrow. Breakfast is not expensive and is really tasty. Very close to several restaurants and a small supermarket. A kitchen is also available to use. A great choice on the island.
We really enjoyed the management and staff. So friendly and eager to help.
The facilities are basic, but the room was roomy and we enjoyed the breakfasts.
Authentic and friendly stay in a picturesque location. Sadly, Moorea suffered a massive power outage which made the stay difficult. That notwithstanding, our hosts rallied with extra water and a special effort to present breakfast in the morning!
Very simple place in a great location. We booked this very last minute for one night. Hosts were great! Friendly! The little beach is cute. Great bar/resteraunt right across the street which was perfect for us americans who like a bar! Good food. We did use fans at night and the mosquito net! First time doing that! Bring all of your essentials as you only get a towel for getting cleaned up. They had fresh fruit and bread for us for breakfast. It was great! This place was exactly as descirbed and from the pictures posted. We enjoyed the experience!

Louise was great, and very helpful in getting me checked in. A great breakfast was provided, with fresh bread, coffee/tea, and a great assortment of fruit. The beach area is very nice.
My room was fairly spartan, but comfortable, with strong wifi. A small shopping centre and gas station are right across the street, for convenience.
If you’re looking for affordable accommodation on Moorea, I’d recommend Fare Club!
Formerly a Club Med property, with the interior well laid out, including importantly a fan which discouraged any mosquitoes. Very close to the ocean with its own small private beach. Good restaurant just across the road. Not close to either the Airport or Ferry Port, but mini bus shuttle worked well, although needed to be pre-booked. The host did a great job sorting this out for me. Breakfast including fresh fruit was very good.

What a little gem! The family who runs the property are kind and friendly. The atmosphere is very welcoming. They have an adorable private beach with a swing that overlooks the bay. You can take the kayaks out and swim with the turtles, rays and sharks in the crystal clear waters. The snorkeling is incredible with tons of brightly colored fish and pretty coral reefs. There are several very cute restaurants and shops right across the street from the property. Will definitely come back here again.
We spent about a week at Fare Club. We were nicely welcomed. Louise and Francis are great host. In particular, Francis kindly helped us get a scooter, drove us to the location and back. He also gave us a wonderful tour of Magic Mountain (all for free, by the way!) and some other local things. Theyre both always smiling, and we spent a great amount of time chatting with them.
The beach is good; on our one before last evening we saw 2 sharks right at the shore! You can also take the kayaks to go anywhere.
As for the downsides, we wished that Louise would have been responded to our WhatsApp messages. At last, the breakfast was great, but too sweet for us (bread, jam, butter, and fruit salad): it would be even better if there was one salty dish.
Maururu Louise, Francis!
I cannot say enough about the graciousness of the hostess at Fare Club. Louise allowed us an early check-in, which was great since we had a short stay on Moorea. When we arrived, my travel companion had a medical issue and Louise immediately drove her to see a doctor!! Throughout our short stay both Louise and her husband were kind and thoughtful and went above and beyond expectations to make our stay comfortable. The room is basic, but with comfortable beds. The private beach is small, but a lovely setting, with swings that go out over the water. The included breakfast was a nice addition. If you want fancy, this is not a place for you, but if you want a large, comfortable room and the most helpful hosts imaginable, then I highly recommend Fare Club!!
Louise has created a gem at the Fare Club Mo'orea!
Louise has created a gem at the Fare Club Mo’orea for budget travelers!
Fare Club Mo’orea is situated on the grounds of the former Club Med. I believe Louise has 7 cottages that have been renovated. The cottages are exactly as described: they are clean, beds are comfortable, there’s a small fridge and large fan and the showers have a steady stream of hot water. The bathroom/shower area is extraordinary in design and you can see the original effort of Club Med which has survived beautifully. The property has 2 wonderfully equipped & friendly community kitchens where you can also leave your recycle items. Breakfast & the community setup are great with coffee, tea, juice, cereal, milk, baguettes, butter, jam and local bananas, etc! (You can buy eggs, etc from the local market and easily cook at one of the welcoming kitchens.) Mosquitos were around mid-day…my bug spray kept them away. There are also mosquito nets above the beds. The beach has tree swings, tables and chairs in a wonderfully shaded area looking down at the beach. It’s a great night spot, too!
I visited with my sister in December… brought our snorkel gear, but they also had snorkel gear and kayaks available for free. Bring a flash light to view the night time show: stingrays and black tip sharks that like to feed after sunset! We met Louise and Harald who were always available to answer any of our many questions and to make recommendations…one of which was of the best places to snorkel was starting right at their
They let you use snorkel and kayaks they have. Its so close to water and across street is small shop center with a few restaurants and supermarket and scooter rental. Louise host very kind and good breakfast. She scrambled eggs for us we bought at market

The private beach area had perfect sand and an incredibly large tree canopy to protect you from the sun. The rooms are a bit dated, but it's a great low-cost option to experience Moorea while having direct beach access. There's also a spectacular café across the street.
Nice people, "Club Med" atmosphere, antiquated and adequate.

Literal paradise. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming, and the area has the most beautiful beach where you can see sharks and sting rays every day. Beautiful place to stay and would definitely book again

The beach area is great.
The shared kitchen was dirty and needs a complete cleaning.
Not just a stay but an experience. This is a true polynesian stay - the people are warm, welcoming and friendly and really want you to enjoy sharing their wonderful lifestyle. If you want luxury, go elsewhere, but if you want a true Moorea experience in the best part of the island at a very economical cost, I highly recommend giving Fare Club a go.
Nice cottage right on the beach with direct beach access. This property is run by a family and they are such kind-hearted people. Always willing to answer any questions or provided amenities to make my stay more comfortable. I particularly enjoyed the Polynesian breakfast of fruits, baguettes and coffee that was made every morning. Great value for the price and in a nice place of Mo'orea with shops, dining and nature tours all within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.
This was a great stay for our first time to Tahiti, as it was in the flavor of the island. There were 3 of us traveling and the huts were most enjoyable. We did use the provided mosquito nets at night, and it was nice that there was an outdoor kitchen to cook meals. The breakfast they provided was delicious! The owners are very hospitable and ensure that your stay is a good one. We also enjoyed the walk to the nearby beach (what an incredible sunset). If you want to immerse yourself into island living, this is a perfect introduction. It is a great, safe, hidden location. We loved the property's dog!
Lovely cabin with ensuite. Two beds. Two fans. Culturally decorated. Breakfast provided. Friendly and helpful owners. Kitchen facilities available to use for general use and a private beach .
This place is funky and fabulous! It was rustic as in no air conditioning. The host Louise was friendly and helpful and answered all our questions. The included breakfast was very good. The club has its own beach where we snorkeled with sting rays and all kinds of tropical fish.

Sweet Louise is very welcoming and it’s a rustic stay shall we say that while I won’t say anything negative, it was a little closer to camping/glamping than I prefer personally but may be someone else’s cup of tea…..kayaks weren’t available I was told so that was different than expected
Fare Club offers outstanding value. Louise and Harold are great hosts. Don't expect luxury, this is very good but basic accommodation. The lagoon access is great with good snorkelling on the two rock barriers to the left and right. The included breakfast is very good. It is all about the location and the family atmosphere. They get many local return customers which shows they are doing something right. I would stay here again if I went to Moorea. There are several good restaurants within very easy walking distance.
Louise is the best! We all felt so at home and welcomed and loved being able to use the snorkeling gear and kayaks. There is no shortage of interesting and quirky art around the place, with lovely beach settings and a feel of a campground. Loved the outdoor shower, and everyone was so friendly. We wished we had booked for longer and will come back and have a long stay here.
Kayaking around the Motu was fun and there is easy access for dining and shops just across the road. Great wifi and excellent for kids as it’s safe and lots of space to run around with no cars. If you are looking for laidback, easy, friendly and cheerful, this is it!
