The Swing House
This is our 4th stay! We love the indoor amenities this house offers just in case it rains. The fire pit is beautifully placed on the lake for sunsets! Kayaking in the morning and evening is amazing (the lake is so calm).

Inaccurate advertisement
The property was falsely advertised as lake access When actually, you are crossing other people's property to get to the lake. The grill did not work properly. 3 toilet seats were loose, causing my handicap husband to fall in one of them. The contract stated that hey supplied toilet paper, dish soap laundry soap. We contacted the owner and requested to have more brought. But after 2 days we decided we would purchase it ourselves and not have to make another 20 mile trip to the store. After which they did bring it. One neighbor said they're selling there lake cottage because of the issues with this renter. I am not requesting any type of refund. We did make the best of it. I just thought any future renters should know this.

First off we do have Lake Frontage we purchased another property last year to give us frontage. You did ask us if you could have a couple extra people and one of our neighbors told us they counted 21 people in the yard at one time, we only allow 10 guests. We do provide toilet paper , dish soap and laundry soap just not for 20 people. We did get you extra everything when you asked after the first day. Lastly not sure who you talked to but we are not selling the property anytime soon. Thank you for your review we will make sure the toilet seats are tightened.

Family Getaway
The house is beautiful and well maintained. Plenty of space for 8 of us. The pool table was very popular with everyone. We also enjoyed the other games. The only concern we had was what outside grass area we could use. A map showing the section of yard between the house and lake that guests could use would be great. There was a newly built fire pit with half wall and seating in front of the dock for #144 that we enjoyed. The dock was very stable and made it easy to access our rented pontoon. Overall I would highly recommend this rental house for other families.

This property was beautiful, even better than the pictures or description. The beds were comfortable. The home was fully stocked with everything we needed. We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely return. The home is beautifully decorated and a perfect peaceful setting. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Lakeside Home
We spent three nights at this lakeside property, which was beautifully decorated, clean and well stocked with all that we needed for our stay. Bathrooms are lovely and there are plenty of bedrooms to accommodate several people. Also, the common areas provide comfort and entertainment. The only issue we had was that the internet service was down for 24 hours, likely due to a big snowstorm. And when it was restored, the speed was VERY slow. Again, this may have been due to the weather, as I believe the internet service is via satellite. All in all, a wonderful property that I would recommend to anyone.

Christmas Weekend Getaway
Our family stayed at this beautiful lakeside home for a Christmas getaway weekend. It is close to Pokagon State Park where we went to the Tobaggan Run for a morning of adventure. The home was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. The owner did a good job with communicating with us. If you are a coffee drinker there is a coffee pot that requires bottled water only. So make sure to grab some bottled water before your stay.

Sorry Bill the Wi-Fi in that area is not the best we pay a lot of money for internet , they are working on getting stronger Wi-Fi.

Fun trip for the whole family
We had a great time at this lake house. Our family ranged from age 5 to 60 and everyone had something to do. The arcade, dart board and pool table were a hit. The outside deck was perfect for relaxing and kicking off the college football season. The house itself isn’t necessarily lakeside, but more of a lake view. None the less there is lake access and a designated dock down the way for that lake access (it feels like it is in another houses backyard). Our only “complaint” or issue with this rental is there is an apartment on the top floor of the house. The residents of the apartment in the house don’t have access to the house and kept to themselves during our stay. However, when hanging out in the kitchen or playing pool, you could hear the upstairs residents walking around. For the most part this was a non issue, but it would have been nice to know when renting the property. Overall it was a great trip for the weekend!

Hello Ben thank you for your review. We apologize our nephew lives in the back apartment he goes to college at Trine University, he is only there a few months out of the year. We just recently purchased the area in front of our lake house and moved our dock in front of our property so now we have lake frontage . Sorry for any inconvenience we are glad your family enjoyed your stay.

Beautiful place and a great view of the lake
We had a great time at the lake with family and friends. The lake house was beautiful and it had a great view of the lake. Everything in the house was gorgeous! The only thing that I would recommend is to put a ladder off the dock to get into the lake.

Family Lake Vacation
The house is large, comfortable, and very clean, accommodating two families easily. The kids loved the game room. This was our 2nd stay and we were thrilled to see the host add wifi for internet and streaming services for movies this year. We also enjoyed having a dock for the pontoon boat we rented, a necessity for a wonderful lake vacation. Would not hesitate to stay again.

A sure couples getaway!!
This property was breathe of fresh air, as projected in the online photos. Decor throughout the home were nothing short of amazing. A hidden gem on the lake. The provided games were a plus! We all assumed that not having wifi would be an issue, but the home has so much to offer you really don't need it. Although I would recommend it for phone call purposes only. Other than that I would recommend this place to anyone who just wants to clear their head. The host was quick with answering any questions or concerns that we may have had so this made us very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and want to visit again in the near future.

Beautiful spot for family Christmas
We rented this gorgeous home over Christmas so 3 generations of our family could all be together. Setting was quiet and peaceful, with beautiful views of the lake in the mornings. The home is beautifully decorated with no expense spared and no details missed. There was even a Christmas tree fir us to put our presents around. All bedrooms are on the second level, except for thr kids room, and they are all close together (thr master suites re generous in size but thr smaller rooms are much smaller). The kitchen was well stocked, though bring your own casserole dishes. No wifi (which made it impossible for me to work from there, as I had no cell service with my Verizon phone), but it has satellite TV, video games, pool table and dart board, as well as board games- plenty to keep you occupied and help you 'unplug' for your trip. Winter or summer, this is a great place to stay!

Great family time ❣️
The biggest issue was the doorwalls do not lock well, which is an issue with kids. Had lots of games for all. Plenty of cookware, dish's to cook and serve. Found the second master room needs black out curtains if you don't want to get up at the crack of dawn. Also the sink faucet is not quite right. Actually with all the neighborhood yard lights all the bedrooms should have blackouts. That being said, overall a wonderful home to meet up with loved ones for some quality family time. No internet. Remember the days when people didn't have a phone in hand 24/7. 🤗 Thank you for sharing your beautiful house.

Waterfront?
This property has limited to no yard. You have to cross through the backyard of an adjoining cottage to get to a dock with no waterfront space at all. Don't be deceived by the view from your deck...there are three property owners between your deck and the water, the closest of which has multiple signs to declare it as private property/stay out. No complaints about the cottage itself...comfortably decorated and maintained.

Lovely property and lovely lake! Had a very nice time with neighbors and our kids. We enjoyed the kayaks and brought a stand up paddle board to the lake. The lake is very pretty and peaceful--especially early in the morning. The home was clean and well appointed, with nice comfortable furnishings and a beautiful pool table. We could have used some more towels and a few extra sets of sheets for the futons in the 5th bedroom (we used for the kids) but overall we were quite pleased with the property. Note that the dock to use is not directly in front of the property and you do need to walk across another home's property to get to your dock (still very close). Definitely take advantage of the wonderful little store within walking distance for essentials, ice cream, and delicious pizza. We would absolutely stay again!

Nice Home, property is not as pictured
Beautiful and clean home, with very up to date features and modern finishing touches. The home does not have WIFI, we were aware of it and honestly enjoyed being off the grid, however the cell service is very poor and WIFI would help with that. As a renter we saw a ‘Lakefront home’ beautifully pictured, situated and described and believed we had lake front access. However that is not the case. The large grass area leading down to the lake with the fire pits and benches are not their property and this home does not legally have any lake front access. Instead this homeowner has a dock that another homeowner allows us to use on their property. This was very surprising, confusing, and made access to the water and our boats difficult. It also lead to an unfortunate situation in which the homeowner of the boat dock property confronted us about using the wrong dock by yelling and cursing from his balcony. While we were trying to mediate the situation one of our friends was racially profiled and threatened. All of this in front of minor children. Angel was very understanding and available to contact especially with this event. We are thankful that we still could enjoy our time and are especially thankful to the sweet and kind neighbor next door, Deb who made us feel like family! If your looking to have lake access I would encourage you to look again because this is just lake view with ‘strings attached’ lake access.

Family Lake Vacation
Great vacation home, comfortably fit our family group of 4 adults and 6 children. Beautifully renovated and decorated, spacious, well-stocked with all the amenities you would expect, and very clean. The kids loved the pool table and the large deck with firepit and outdoor swing bar. The only downside was no internet for wi-fi or movies, and next time we'll rent a pontoon boat due to the limited yard and dock space for the kids to swim. Overall we had a fabulous time in this beautiful home and we will definitely stay again!

A wonderful getaway
We rented this beautiful home for an event at Hillsdale College (about 35 mins away.) I was not familiar at all with the area, but Angel was wonderful about answering our questions in advance of our stay. When we arrived we were thrilled to see that the house was just as clean and beautiful as it was in the photos. The views of the lake and outdoor space exceeded our expectations. We had a great time catching fish off of the dock and using the kayaks. We also found a cool spot about 5 miles from the house where you can stand in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio all at the same time! The kids enjoyed walking up to Nettie’s store each night after dinner for ice cream. Angel responded to all of my questions during the stay within minutes and even allowed us to extend our stay. The only reason I did not give this property a perfect rating is because renters should know that the 5th bedroom is not a true bedroom in my opinion. There were couches that folded down and air mattresses to put on top for added comfort, but this was not exactly what I was expecting. Also, there is no WiFi and due to the remote location, my hotspot signal was spotty. Do not plan on working remotely from here! Overall, a wonderful home base for our event at the college. We would love to rent this house again next year if the college holds the same event.

Relaxation with a view
From the moment we stepped through the door we knew we were in for a treat. The house has been freshly remodeled and is wonderfully decorated. It is the perfect set up for multiple family’s with 2 master suites with views of the lake from the bed. Plenty of room to find your own personal space. We loved the little reading nooks, again with lake views. The house was spotless and the kitchen was as set to cook all your meals. Be ready to unplug as currently there is no WiFI and cell service is minimal. The owners responded quickly to all my questions and were gracious to let us stay a couple extra hours as our flight was delayed. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. Rob and Audra
