"It’s a good stay. Nothing spectacular but the staff (probably the owners) were very sweet and nice. I’m not too picky and I felt safe in the area. There weren’t any disturbances and my room was pretty clean. The place certainly looks rustic if I was to comment on it but if you’re looking just for a bed and shower it’s great. They had good but loud AC, a Roku TV, mini fridge, and a microwave. If I travel to Des Moines again by myself, I’ll probably stop here again as the price was good"

"The house was perfect for 4 adults to stay for several days while in town for an event. We enjoyed the back patio with the the grill and became the space for others in our party to eat due to the lovely kitchen. Communication was great with the host . We would definitely stay here again."

"Very cute property and set up well for guests. Loved the kitchen with all the amenities, a comfortable living room, and a large porch with a view of the lake. My niece went down to the dock below every day to look at (for) the mink and also did some birdwatching bear the property.My sister, a niece and I were in town to see family and celebrate an incoming baby. We had an amazing time and really enjoyed our time at the cottage."
