Affordable, conveniently located, clean. It is a bit outdated but it seems it has had some room renovations.

it was very good for the price and a great sized room, although the toilet at times would not flush and we would have to wait up to 30 minutes before it would successfully flush. we would push the handle down and nothing would happened. the shower also would at times get scolding hot and then go back to normal but overall a good experience for the price!

Firstly when I booked, it shows complementary breakfast. At the property they said it's stopped. Hotel.com didn't show the update properly. Next, the room was not satisfying. There microwave oven makes too much of noise. The washbasin took too much time to drain water. Looks the room needs proper maintenance. I should check properly next time before booking. Lesson learned

Check-in was quick & easy. Nice to have separate bedroom. Coffee maker was dirty so didn't use. Both closet shelves had dirty layer of dust & didn't look like it had been cleaned in a very long time. Literally no convenient outlets to plug phones or laptops in.

One of room was so bad that we had to vacate in middle of night and find another place
The only reason I would give one star less is the floor, the floor was sticky and our family needed to wear sock to walk all the time.
Otherwise this is my second time staying here, Quiet convenient and well complimented by the free breakfast they offer.
Definitely would benefit from good floor cleaning
My steak was just fine. I was a little disappointed in the breakfast offered. I feel like there should’ve been more fresh fruit. I was only there two nights, and only one day was their fruit put out and it was only apples. Also, there were no breakfast bars or granola bars, which I was a little surprised about.
Check in was easy, great service.
Room was as expected.
Layout was weird, you entered into bedroom bathroom was in middle of rooms.
Shower head not for tall people.
Staff was friendly and fast to help. The facilities are a bit old and things don't work as they should. It was a comfortable room but I feel like they are lacking some modern amenities for a hotel these days.
Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Hotel needs major refurbishing. There was a very loud concert nearby which we were not told about as well as jet noise over head. No AC. We had to use fans provided in the room which helped somewhat. Overall, a nightmare experience.
Very friendly and helpful at check in. Rooms were spacious with all basic needs.

Monterey hotel
Having two rooms was extremely helpful. However, the breakfast was not ok. There was hardly anything for the kids to choose from. The front bed room was so loud and bright. The staff was barely helpful and barely wanted to help.

It was “fine,” however I didn’t have more than about one or two minutes of warm-ish (not hot) water in the shower. Then it went cold. Also I find it very unwelcoming that the breakfast door is kept locked even during breakfast hours so guests have to go get the front desk’s attention to be let in.

This was a last-minute booking to attend a concert in Monterey. The property is small and well-maintained, although there was evidence of water damage and peeling paint on the ceiling. The two desk clerks that I dealt with were friendly and helpful, and the nightly rate was extremely reasonable. The bed was especially comfortable!
