Cosy cottage in small charming 13c walled village.
La Chaumière is a little picturesque cottage nestling in a flower filled garden in a walled medieval village deep in the rural Lot region of SW France. It has a nice overground pool - perfect for cooling off in during the hot weather. It is very quiet and private and set within my garden. La Chaumière is ideally located for you to explore the surrounding Lot / Dordogne area with plenty of things to see and do. Montcabrier is surrounded by forests and walking/cycling paths and is on the Chemin de St Jaques de Compostelle. Some great restaurants within a short drive and neighbouring villages include Duravel, Puy l’Eveque and Prayssac - all of which have excellent markets. This is a great opportunity to explore hidden secret France. One small dog and one free ranging chicken live here too!
