"This hotel is was lovely find. Recently under new management it is a work in progress regarding opening the Bistro but hopefully it will open soon.. My room was upgraded from standard to a very spacious room with a separate bedroom and a spa. Very clean, very comfortable and unexpectedly quiet. I was on the ground floor facing Blackburn Rd, however there is a very solid concrete fence that provided an excellent buffer between the room and the traffic. It must be said there are a lot of rooms that do no face Blackburn Rd - if you prefer. The staff were very helpful and advised me that they are gradually upgrading the rooms but to my mind my room was perfect as it was. For the price a stay at the The Gateway Hotel, Blackburn Rd, Notting Hill is value for money. Safe, clean - quiet, a comfortable oasis in a very busy area. I highly recommend this Hotel - I will be back. Helen."
