You'll find a few local shops and a boulangerie here, making it easy to pick up essentials. The main square often hosts small markets or local gatherings, providing a glimpse into village life. This area is ideal for couples seeking a tranquil getaway, as it offers a relaxed pace and a chance to enjoy the local culture without being overwhelmed.

For those looking for a more secluded experience, the outskirts of Molay, particularly properties located amongst the vineyards, are an excellent option. These accommodations often provide stunning views of the Bourgogne countryside and a greater sense of privacy.

The best time to go to Molay is typically during the late spring (May to early June) or early autumn (September to early October).

During these periods, the weather is generally pleasant, with comfortable temperatures ideal for exploring the Bourgogne countryside and its vineyards. You'll find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer months, allowing for a more relaxed experience at popular attractions and local restaurants. The vineyards are either in full bloom or showcasing their autumn colours, offering picturesque scenery.

For those interested in wine, September and October are particularly appealing as this is often harvest season. Many local wineries offer special tours and tastings during this time, providing a unique insight into the winemaking process. It's a fantastic opportunity for couples or solo travellers to delve deeper into the region's renowned viticulture.

If you prefer warmer weather and don't mind more visitors, July and August offer the highest temperatures and the longest daylight hours. This is an excellent time for outdoor activities like cycling along the Canal du Centre or enjoying al fresco dining.
