The best time to visit Moana is between November and April, during New Zealand's warmer months.

During this period, the weather is generally pleasant, with higher temperatures and less rainfall, making it ideal for outdoor activities around Lake Brunner. You'll find it comfortable for exploring the lake, going for walks, or enjoying the local scenery.

For those looking to make the most of the lake for water sports like kayaking, paddleboarding, or fishing, the summer months from December to February are particularly good. The longer daylight hours also mean more time to enjoy the natural beauty of the region.

If you prefer a quieter experience with fewer crowds and are interested in hiking or exploring the surrounding bush, the shoulder seasons of November and March-April are excellent.
