The best time to visit Miyove is during the dry season, which runs from June to September.

During these months, the weather is generally sunny with less rainfall, making it ideal for outdoor activities and exploring the region. The roads are also in better condition, which is a significant advantage for travel within the Northern Province. This period is particularly good for those planning to visit the nearby Volcanoes National Park for gorilla trekking, as the trails are less muddy and more accessible.

Another good period to consider is the short dry season, from mid-December to February. While shorter, this window also offers pleasant weather conditions. It's a popular time for those looking to escape colder climates elsewhere and enjoy Rwanda's mild temperatures.

It's generally best to avoid the long rainy season from March to May and the short rainy season in October and November.
