The whole property was very nice and quiet no staff around after about 5 but Rachel who’s the day time staff is awesome. Very friendly and helpful. Lots of animals. Nice friendly quiet area. Perfect for a quick getaway!
Absolutely charming! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel at home. Room was spotless, bed was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast was outstanding. Quiet, cozy, and full of character. I will definitely be back!

There were a mix of pluses and minuses but on a whole once I checked in it was a good experience. The property is beautiful, my room was clean, comfortable and the breakfast and service in the morning was efficient and friendly. That being said it was impossible to get in touch with this staff beforehand and they’re running on a skeleton crew, with workers on the premises only a few hours a day.
The restaurant, Henry’s, on the property is closed, the spa relocated and the bathroom in the common area was out of order. For what I paid for my room on Expedia I was able to accept the shortcomings and enjoy my stay, but if you’re paying full price, I would do a little research.

There are a lot of renovations going on, and it might not be at the height of its game… But they do everything they can there to make you comfortable… Including upgrades and five star service. We would definitely go back they are renovating the spa which I believe is probably taking away from giving attention to other parts of the property, but I believe the owner and his staff have all the right intentions and because of that and because of their service, we will definitely be back.
The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The resort premises are cute. Breakfast which was included was decent. However, a day before our arrival we have learned that Henry’s restaurant where we had a birthday dinner reservation was closed which was disappointing as it was meant to be part of the overall experience. Tried to reach the property several times, left a voicemail and couple messages through Expedia, no one reached back or acknowledged our outreach. During our stay no one was ever at the front desk - the only one who seemed to work there was the chef/server.l which we met at breakfast.
Don't be fooled by the pics, which are from some time in the past. The breakfast was nice, and that is the positive. This property could be beautiful and I assume it was at some earlier date. Huge trees down blocking walkways as well as walkways falling apart making it hard to safely explore the property (one of it's selling points). Room decor is dated. Noone there to check us in, noone there to help with adjusting the temp in our room (freezing) or getting us a blanket. No response to attempts to contact them at the number they provided. Didn't feel super safe that doors to outside are unlocked overnight, anyone could walk in (and one of the windows in our room on the ground floor didn't lock). Also no staff there in the morning. We read that the owners might be having financial issues. I empathize, but the stay was not worth the almost $500 price tag with the current conditions.
Very good location with many options to explore around, additional option to use SPA right here, but limited SPA service due to renovation ( no pool, no sauna, no change room).
Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was great. They would provide you with 3 great options for hot breakfast and had access to the cold buffet items. They were conscious of my wife's gluten allergy and made accommodations. The area around the Inn had farm animals and llamas. There was also a trail to the falls. Overall very happy
Room was cozy, nice winter wonderland feel with a fireplace. Recommendations: refill the hot water for afternoon tea from 3-6pm. Otherwise, it's lukewarm from sitting out since breakfast service. Also, the toaster setting burns thin-sliced bread. The sign asks guests not to adjust the setting, but something needs to be adjusted. Loved the animals, looking forward to visiting again maybe when the spa renovations are done.
It is in a gorgeous setting. A beautiful place to walk around and admird landscaping, views, swans, peacpcks, the Hudson river, etc. Staff is lovely and very accomodatng. I will be back.
It is just one of those special get-away places. The gardens and property are Monet-like and the food at Henry's as well as the breakfast in the morning are very satisfying. Staff is friendly, easy to engage and care about your visit. We stayed in Sage Left. Bed is comfortable, room and bathroom ample.

Honestly this was probably the first time when my husband and I didn’t stay the full length of our trip (2 days) and checked out after one night. It was very disappointing. Firstly, I believe we were the only ones at the hotel. We did not see any other people except some of the workers. There is no one at the front desk 85% of the time. There is a number to call if you need assistance but that’s about it. The breakfast and the lady serving breakfast was very sweet and breakfast was very good.
Very disappointed about amenities! The fire place was not working, some of the outlets didn’t work! The farm to table restaurant is closed and is not working. There was ZERO room service! No one changed the towels or cleaned the room at all! Honestly for this price a night I would NOT recommend at all! There was no amenities available and overall just unfortunately a disappointing experience! When we let the front desk know via text message that we are leaving at 6pm instead of 11am the following morning they did not say a word except “ok”. No asking how was everything or if something bothered us… nothing! There was literally no one at the front desk!

We liked everthing, the only problem was the air conditioner was loud, we did not like the pillows. The place was beautiful and the service was great, we would come back.
My daughter and I stayed here for two nights. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Loved the tea time as well. Lovely area and lovely property. They are remodeling their Spa and Restaurant (which is due to move back on-property before Christmas). The inn is historic, so not totally quiet (can hear train faintly from across the river and in-room mini-fridge made noises during the night.
