This airy home features a main level great room with a vaulted ceiling, gas fireplace, hardwood floors & opens to a well appointed gourmet kitchen with breakfast nook. On that same level, there is also a bedroom with a queen bed plus full bathroom with tub. Capture bay breezes as you entertain on the spacious deck off the great room. The second floor features a master suite with king bed, small office nook, with access to a full bathroom with shower, and a separate guest room with a Queen bed. The lower level features a bedroom with three sets of bunk beds, two of which are triple tiered and the third with a double/twin along with a full bath. There is also a bedroom with a Queen bed and private half bath. The lower level also has a screened in porch. Walk your dog on the beach, collect shells, and swim. Wash the sand off in the oversized cedar outdoor shower. Evenings are highlighted by a bonfire on the beach, star gazing and an occasional shooting star. No need to venture far for beach essentials & food, just visit the iconic Broadkill Store. In a short 15 min drive, you can access Historic Milton that has a grocery store, pharmacy and liquor store, and Lewes & Rehoboth are minutes away. Dog Friendly with non-refundable fee and signed addendum (1 dog allowed unless previous approval from owner) Ask your agent for details Maximum occupancy of 12 strictly enforced. All guests must supply their own sheets, towels and beach towels or OPT in for our linen rental package. Guests must choose to purchase a $70 Vacation Rental Damage Insurance policy covering $3,000.00 in accidental damage, or pay a refundable security deposit of $2,000.00\. Policies of a lesser amount are not acceptable. This amount will not be reflected in the quote amount on VRBO. The property must be occupied for the entire rental period by the Guest signing the Lodging Agreement (Responsible Guest), and all occupants of the Property shall be supervised by the Responsible Guest. The Responsible Guest must be at least 25 years of age. If the party is made up of unrelated individuals (a group rental where the Responsible Guest is NOT the legal guardian/parent of any other guests), ALL guests occupying the property must be at least 25 years of age. However, distance from beach was a bit of a problem for several. The ad should indicate that there are stairs that may limit mobility and safety for elderly. This house was the most remote location we had. Great if you are craving peace and quiet. Lovely house but lots of items very old. Dishwasher did not work. Took 3 days to get someone to come look at it. They had to order parts so we never had a dish washer to use. Washer and dryer not working either. Property manager not responsive to helping us. Made several calls before we had some response. Home holds lots of people and could be fun if you have a group. Beach walk isn’t bad except the sand is so hot getting there. . ##### Joanne K. The house was stocked with many of the essentials. You are close to the beach and fun activities. If they can get some of the minor things worked out it would be a 5 star place. Some of our issues:says a 2 minute walk to beach. But there was some miscommunication if you can actually use the beach at the end of the road, we received two different messages from the reality company. We finally asked the neighbors that live there and they said we could access the beach there, the other direction was a 15 minute walk to get onto the beach. Upon arriving we found the door standing wide open it was kind of concerning. The door is difficult to lock so you need to double check that the door is closed tightly so the lock can catch. After unpacking we were disappointed in the fact the place had an ant, fly and mosquito issue not sure if some was from the door being left open.You need a fly swatter which was left on the counter so must have been an issue before, and all of your snacks need to be sealed in containers, ants actually made their way into the fridge. The bench at the table was held together with bungee cords, no adults sat on that side of the table. The big issue as I seen this on a review from July of last year someone pugged in a phone charger in at the end of the bar and it tripped the breaker for the fridge and the wine fridge, it took some time to figure it out. ##### Michelle D. Mosquitoes and black biting flies made the walk seem longer. Other vacationers of 20-30 years, assured us this nor the jellyfish were the norm at Broadkill Beach, not to judge on one bad week. So, we bought bug spray and carried on. We enjoyed hunting ghost crabs at night with the grands, beach bonfires under the stars and making smores. Discovered the corner store has the best homemade ice cream, we made a few trips.We would definitely come back again. ##### Sherry R. First time staying here and it won't be the last. Clean and spacious with areas to spread out. Local neighbors were a delight to chat with and the beach just steps away never disappoints. The property was perfect what what we needed, very clean and with a nice set up. The neighborhood is quite and the locals are friendly.
