"Property was nice. Apartment was somewhat clean, but needed much more. Ants and insects throughout apartment. Apartment was bleak with amenities. Patio door did not lock properly, literally the lock was broken and door would not lock. Communicated with property manager, that my party would check-out at 11:00 am. Landlord and future renters came in the apartment, unannounced and surveyed the apartment about an hour and a half before departure time. When asked to leave, they did. ...

Jags villa

Union Vale

10/10 Excellent

Initially we had problems finding the placing ( the address on Hotels.com does not show a street number ) and only found it after a google search of “jags villa”. It is, though, quite close to the airport and once you find it access to the airport is very easy. The slight downside is that there are no shops or restaurants close by, you have to drive to the other side of the airport to a nice mall to get anything. Still, it was a very nice place, super clean, with a wonderful pool and a nice...

Bubble Lodge Bois Chéri

Bois Cheri

10/10 Excellent

THIS WAS AMAZING!!! The peacefulness of the area. The outside shower was so good. Also, there are so many animals around that you can feed. I loved the deers, boars, monkeys, swans, variety of birds and so much more! The Bubble was amazing at night and it was so eco friendly! I loved it! Only thing it was a bit cold at night so bring warm clothes. But otherwise the Tea was soo good the food especially the vanilla dish. ALL AROUND BEST money spent!

A neatly made bed with blue and grey bedding, a blue curtain, a small bedside table with a lamp, and a wall-mounted air conditioner.

City Lodge

Beau Bassin - Rose Hill

10/10 Excellent

The lady might have been the nicest I have ever encountered at a hotel during my years of travelling! The accommodation was very nice for that price point. Was just looking for a place for a good deal with clean sheets, and it was exactly that. There’s no front desk there so it’s best to message the property before arriving. I didn’t realize this until I got there, so walked down the road to KFC to get wifi and message. She replied within minutes, then came and picked us up in her car and drove...

Sands Suites Resort & Spa

Wolmar

10/10 Excellent

Enjoyed very much that upon receiving my booking, I was assigned a guest relation agent who was available to help with any problems. I very much enjoyed that the check in was done in our room and enjoyed the sparkling wine. The food at the restaurant was superb. The entertainment was elegant... not too loud like in some other establishments in Mauritius. The welcoming gifts were very tasteful. We enjoyed the refined touch of an evening aperitif that was delivered to our room each evening. ...

Villa Anakao

Port Louis

10/10 Excellent

I didn’t know what to expect when I booked this, but I can say I was not disappointed! Having come from a busy resort on a nearby island, Villa Anakao was definitely more my vibe. The room was incredible. I loved sitting out on the terrace in the evening with a glass of wine. The food was also incredible. I truly felt like I was more than just a guest here. I wish I had spent more time here, and would love to come back one day!

Auberge Le Saladier

Mahebourg

10/10 Excellent

This is a basic no-frills hotel, but more than makes up for its basic amenities with a warm welcome and better-than-average breakfast. We arrived with our 1-year-old baby and the friendly owner played with him while we ate breakfast, provided us with a complimentary crib, gave us a free room upgrade, and was quite helpful with travel arrangements. The hotel is located in the center of Mahebourg - not an idyllic beach resort but a good place to get a sense of everyday life in Mauritius and...
