The best time to go to Metricup is during the shoulder seasons of autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November), when the weather is pleasant and the region is less crowded.

Autumn in Metricup brings warm, settled weather, typically with clear skies and comfortable temperatures, ideal for exploring the vineyards and coastline. The grape harvest usually happens in late summer to early autumn, so you might catch some of the vintage activity. This period is great for couples looking for a relaxed getaway, allowing them to enjoy wine-tasting tours and gourmet dining without the peak season rush.

Spring offers similarly inviting weather, with wildflowers blooming across the landscape, particularly in September and October. Temperatures are mild, making it a great time for outdoor activities such as walking trails or visiting local produce markets. Families often appreciate this time of year, as the comfortable weather is suitable for children to enjoy the various attractions, from petting zoos to chocolate factories, before the intense heat of summer.

While summer (December to February) is popular for its beach weather, it can be very hot and busy, especially during school holidays. Winter (June to August) is cooler and wetter, but still offers opportunities for cosy experiences by a fireplace with a glass of local red wine.
