With unspoilt views of the Taf Fechan valley and Brecon Mountain railway, Pencerrig Isaf is the perfect base for exploring the Brecon Beacons and escaping day-to-day life.

Situated in the village of Pontsticill, Isaf is less than 20 minutes from the base of Pen y Fan or the famous Ystradfellte Four Waterfalls, as well as a choice of pubs, outdoor activities and equipment hire available within the village.

Isaf comfortably sleeps up to four guests in two flexible bedrooms, with each available in either a king or twin setup. There is also a communal living area with smart TV and speedy wi-fi, and kitchen/dining and bathroom spaces fully equipped with all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay.

We are an extremely popular choice for a unique experience, guests love our custom-built pergola housing a woodfired pizza oven and gas BBQ, with adjoining patio seating and firepit – perfect for an afternoon in the sun or a night under the starry sky after a busy day’s exploring.

Disappointed
Was this the same place we read about both on VRBO and in the comments book in the property? Something has definitely changed. NO communication until chased (2 days after the instructions should have popped into my inbox & a day before we were travelling), no help getting to and into the property at all. The entrance to the property is not obvious (and ironically we were helped by a guest at one of the other properties who had likewise spent time trying to locate his property. This was after we had asked at the pub and a delivery driver had tried to help). No extra touches waiting for us as other guests had liked in their reviews (ie. warm welcome by the hosts, milk, biscuits, etc, not a problem but…..). More surprising was a complete lack of basics, washing up brushes/cloths, soap & also more mundanely, instructions on heaters & the TV! Not spotlessly clean either, not dusted and dirty rug and footstool. Shower also is unpleasant. We were really disappointed considering the property is marketed as topnotch in the Pancerrig collection bumpf & all the reviews were SO good!!! I note it has now been withdrawn from VRBO so not sure who will see this…………..
