Host Walter has set up the ideal place for getting away from it all and that's exactly what this experience delivered - a much needed break from the big city and the perfect finale to an extended Easter vacation. The view from the balcony is wonderful - it's not one of those elevated views where you look into the distance, but instead you have the orchard below you and the edge of the forest beyond that. The Orchard Cottage is an authentic rustic cottage within a very tranquil rural/bush setting making it the ideal place for a very peaceful break, great for bird watching and we saw lots of Kookaburras which was lovely. The facilities are excellent with a very well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The front deck looks over pretty views of the orchard and farmland hills, and is great for al fresco meals. The fire was ready to be lit when we arrived, lots of kindling and wood and everything spotless. The bedroom was upstairs and had great outlook over the countryside. Everything was provided and lots of spare rubbish bags, sponges and detergent.. (not like some places where you get bare minimum).. Lovely towns nearby and even a resident Kookaburra... The house was very comfortable, and clean and the surroundings were peaceful with wonderful walks surrounded by majestic trees and birdsong.
