"We had a wonderful family holiday here. We are so glad we booked this place instead of the one on the nearby city Miskolc. The pool and jacuzzi was so much fun for our kids and the food was remarkable. The steak and chips was so delicious! The Gypsy pork chops are making me want to drive back for another holiday! I highly recommend this place if one is looking for a local Hungarian experience with an incredibly supportive and loving hotel team! We will definitely be back next year! "

Stannade en extra natt för att undvika regnväder och det gjorde oss ingenting då det finns härliga hojvägar i närområdet."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Megyaszó?
The best area to stay in Megyaszó is within the village centre, particularly around the main square and the areas immediately surrounding the historic Reformed Church.

This central part of Megyaszó offers a peaceful setting with easy access to local amenities. The village is small, so everything is within a short walk. You'll find traditional Hungarian architecture, local shops, and a sense of community here. It's an excellent base for those seeking a tranquil retreat.

Couples looking for a quiet escape will find the village centre particularly appealing. You can enjoy strolls through the village, visit the local church, and experience the relaxed pace of rural Hungarian life. It's a wonderful spot for unwinding and enjoying each other's company away from the bustle of a city.

For those interested in exploring the local wine region, staying in the village centre provides convenient access to the surrounding vineyards and cellars of the Tokaj-Hegyalja area.
When is the best time to go to Megyaszó?
The best time to go to Megyaszó is during the late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to early October) when the weather is pleasant and the local festivals are in full swing.

These periods offer comfortable temperatures for exploring the region without the extreme heat of mid-summer or the chill of winter. You'll find the countryside green and blooming in spring, and the autumn brings vibrant colours to the vineyards and forests, along with harvest celebrations.

Couples looking for a relaxing getaway will appreciate the quieter atmosphere during these shoulder seasons, allowing for more intimate experiences at local wineries and a chance to enjoy nature walks without large crowds. The milder weather is superb for leisurely bike rides through the scenic landscapes or exploring the nearby Tokaj wine region.

For solo travellers interested in cultural experiences and local traditions, early autumn is particularly appealing. This is often when grape harvest festivals take place, offering a unique opportunity to learn about the region's winemaking heritage and sample local produce.
