The best time to visit Meghauli is during the dry season, specifically from October to March, when the weather is most pleasant for exploring.During these months, the humidity is lower, and the temperatures are comfortable, typically ranging from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. This makes it ideal for outdoor activities like wildlife safaris and jungle walks in Chitwan National Park. You'll find the rivers calmer and the chances of spotting wildlife, especially rhinos and Bengal tigers, are higher as animals tend to gather around water sources. For those looking to enjoy the local culture and festivals, late October and November are particularly good, as they often coincide with major Nepali festivals like Dashain and Tihar. While Meghauli itself is a quieter, more rural area, these festivals are celebrated across the region and offer a glimpse into local traditions. The monsoon season, from June to September, brings heavy rainfall and high humidity, which can make travel and outdoor activities challenging. Roads might be affected, and some parts of the park could be less accessible.
