Narrow alleys, cobbled walkways, stairs up and down, leading in all directions. Chefchaouen's powder blue buildings mirror the cloudless Moroccan sky - but religious rather than stylistic reasons are behind the design choice. Jewish teachings suggest that by dyeing thread with tekhelel (an ancient natural dye) and weaving it into prayer shawls, people would be reminded of God's power. The tradition lives on in the regularly repainted blue buildings. The walls are adorned with carpets, purses, blankets, paintings and much more. This is located on the main corniche opposite the beach and a walk away from the medina, Kasbah etc. Didn’t get to use the pool as closed until warmer weather but it looked nice. Breakfast was 10 euros per day per person and was a good buffet selection of hot and cold foods. Basket parking very easy and helpful. It was a great room with the only issues being not enough lighting in the bathroom and poor drainage in the shower. The shower head flow was excellent but we had to cut back the flow to avoid overflowing the shower basin. Also, the breakfast is excellent with a great view of the water."
