I get that it's a low-budget property. But this was beyond unacceptable. The room had a weird smell. The floor planks were peeling, there were holes and poorly repaired patches in the wall. There were cobwebs on the window frame, and the entry door was filthy. The room was freezing and the noisy heater took forever to warm it up. The sink faucet had three speeds: off, dribble and jet blast. I couldn't sleep because of the noisy heater cycling on and off all night. The mattress had a huge dip in the center. Uncomfortable to say the least. There was no way I was going to say all 4 nights I was in town. I checked out after my first night and moved to a much nicer hotel next door. The fellow at the front desk was polite, so no issues there. The neighborhood was fine (I'm from the area originally) and I expected a MUCH NICER facility.

Our second stay at this property. Love it. The manager is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean. Safe well lit area to walk my dog at night. You can't beat the price, no extra charge for the dog .Our go to hotel when we are in Ohio. Thank you again for another great stay!

The property is old and a little musty. The heater/cooling in the room was very old but worked okay, the door was filthy and dingy, the walls and bathrooms could use some TLC. The water pressure is alright, plenty of warm water for a nice long shower. The towels resemble course sandpaper and are very small. Few amenities if any, but for the cost I was fine with the stay. Would stay again if needed but wouldn’t seek it out.

Management of hotel needs to take a course in English. Desk clerk was very hard to understand, and lacked any trace of tact. Otherwise you get what you get with a no-frills hotel. Soap and amenities were designed for use by a new born, stalk about skimping pennies!!!!!

We sincerely appreciate your feedback and are saddened that your visit fell short of your expectations due to the situations described in your comments. But let me clear out that, at our property, we do not have any unsafe activities. Your activity makes neighboring guests unsafe and nervous and greatly damages the room. You booked the room for two nights and did not take any cleaning services. You have more than two pets we do not allow, which you should have mentioned on your reservation or at the front desk. You have been wiping dog feces with hotel towels, throwing them outside the room, leaving them in front of the neighboring guest room's door, and making dirty property. After you checked out, we inspected the room and found that your dog chewed up a leather lounge chair. And that is why you lose your deposit. We walk within the room and show you as well upon check out. I will share your comments with the property to address your worries. We continually work to improve our hotel, so I appreciate you providing us with your feedback.

The staff at the Red Roof are gems and very customer oriented. After some trouble with my bank they offered a compromise to allow me to stay, rather than deny me. The room itself was comfortable and well kept, the bath was fine if not for a few dirty sports here and there that you can overlook. Sadly this IS a motel after all, so if you intend on staying there without a car, you are going to be mostly stuck, as you're right off the road with nothing interesting around you, so keep that in mind. Overall, a very pleasant stay, and I wish the staff all the best for their future endeavors.

Hadn't been to a motel in a while. My granddaughter thought it was neat we could pull right up to the door. We had trouble getting the air conditioning to a satisfactory level. It was rather humid in the room even though it had cooled off outside.

Its a Red Roof Inn, so it isn't a Hilton and its important to keep that in perspective. But the staff were friendly, the room was clean, and there are a multitude of restaurants within walking distance. I chose the hotel because of its convenience. I walked to dinner next door, slept well at night. Don't need much more than that.

So many things at this motel were unsatisfactory, I will try to include them all: we apparently disturbed the front desk guy by checking in (he was not friendly at all), our room key wouldn't work and we had to go interrupt him again, he finally got the door open but failed to give us a working key, the bedding was dirty on one bed other than the flat sheet,the floor was dirty,the room was hot and stuffy even with air on high all night,the bathtub was dirty, the pillows were ok if you stacked all 3 up, and the bed felt like you were on a swinging bridge. We only stayed because after working all day and driving 7 hours to get here we were too exhausted to go anywhere else. While it was only around $100 for the room, it wasn't worth 1/4 of that.
