McGregor Bay Vacation Packages

I think this is a very low budget place. The rooms were old. The appliances were old. The bedding was really old and very pilly. The towels were dingy grey in colour. But they smelled clean. I came back to the hotel and found my room had been left open all day long by the cleaning staff. When I say open, I mean open to anyone walking by the room. I had to check to make sure non of our belongings were stolen and the manager of the motel had to review camera footage to ensure no one entered our room. This was very scary and alarming. The Manager shared that they hired youth from the local YMCA to clean and they left the door open accidentally. I was shocked to hear this because they didn’t clean the room that day. The garbages were still full and we had no towels. He said the youth were training. Several other guests also experienced the same things we did and they were worried about their belongings as well. This place needs to upgrade things immediately. During our stay, the temperature was 35-40degrees outside. The room ac would cool the room down but leave everything very moist. It was a difficult stay for me and my family.

The room was newly renovated. Bedding was clean, along with the towels. New curtains and furnishings. The only thing was the bathtub, the walls had imitation grout tiles that the grout marks were dirty. This was totally visible if you looked up towards the ceiling it was clean and by the time t was down near the ledge of the tub your could see the dirt. When taking a shower you are actually standing in someone else's dirty water since the drain is only trickling out. Did complain to the front desk and they said they would fix it. Rm 225 Stayed two nights, they don't clean the room if staying in the same room for only two nights, which was fine. We hung our towels to dry for the next day, but there was no conditioner at all, and they never replaced the shampoo or bar soap. Coffee maker supplies were never replenished. Breakfast is not supplied, although Perkins is fine with their senior's menu and 10% discount when staying at the hotel. The carpets in the hallway should be replaced since they are dirty and hallways smelt. The hallway walls were clean and nicely painted. Front desk was okay. Convenient stay for medical appointments near by. Very noisy at night due to the fact the room was beside the ice machine.

Staff was excellent to deal with very helpful. The room was very spacious and quiet.
