10 night stay at Gite du Chateau de Mazet

Lovely characterful gite, very spacious and well appointed, inside and out. Huge sitting room with pool table and other games, comfortable bedrooms and modern shower rooms. The countryside and private gardens are lovely, with the added bonus of chickens and a donkey, mule and horse in the next field. The hosts were friendly and helpful, particularly in respect of our late arrival due to a delayed flight. They also offered us vegetables from their garden, fresh eggs and advice on local places to visit. The only shortfall in the property was the lack of a washing machine, and there being no clothes drying facilities for wet towels, or any garments washed by hand.

Endroit très beau et calme mais des choses à ameliorer

Endroit très beau et très calme mais des choses à améliorer : Malheureusement pas de possibilité de manger dehors le soir car l’éclairage à détection de mouvement ne se déclenchait pas. La maison n’était pas propre et il manquait de la vaisselle et des ustensiles pour cuisiner un minimum. Le système de ventilation de la maison était installé dans une des chambres .. très bruyant et difficile de dormir. Voiture du propriétaire garée devant la porte fenêtre de la pièce à vivre avec chien agressif qui se jette contre la porte vitrée.

Gîte formidable

Nous avons bien profité du grand jardin avec le babecue à gaz et de la piscine. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et accueillants. Ils nous ont proposé des oeufs frais, un pot de miel de leurs abeilles et des legumes du potager. Le gîte se trouve au milieu des champs où on peut bien se reposer mais avec la voiture, on peut aller à Carcassonne, au Canal du midi, faire du kayak ou des randonnées aux Corbières. Nous avons surtout aimé des baignade sauvages comme aux Georges du Terminet. Un peu plus loin, on peut même aller à la mer ou aux Pyrenées.

Idylle pur!

Wir haben in dieser gîte als Familie 2 wundervolle Wochen verbracht. Das Haus liegt in Alleinlage inmitten einer wunderschönen Hügellandschaft und ist umgeben von Getreide-, Wein- und Sonnenblumenfeldern. Ideal für alle, die Ruhe und etwas Abgeschiedenheit lieben. Dennoch ist die Anbindung sehr gut: Carcassonne etwa 30 Minuten, Narbonne + Strände sowie Toulouse etwa 60 Minuten. Auch die Berge sind nicht weit. Der nächste größere Ort mit Supermarkt und Tankstelle ist gute 15 Minuten Autofahrt entfernt. Wir haben die tägliche Anfahrt zum Haus durch die Sonnenblumenfelder und das beschauliche Örtchen Fanjeaux mit Panoramablick über die Hügellandschaft immer wieder von neuem genossen. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet, die Betten bequem, es ist alles da, was man benötigt. Der Pool im Garten stand uns allein zur Verfügung und war vor allem für die Kinder ein Highlight, ebenso wie der Billiardtisch im Wohnzimmer. Die Gastgeber sind sehr gastfreundlich - wir wurden regelmäßig mit frischen Eiern von den Hühnern, selbst geimkerten Honig und Gemüse und Honigmelonen aus dem Garten versorgt. Auf dem Anwesen gibt es außer Pferden, Eseln, Ziegen, einer Katze und Hühnern auch einen Pfau mit zwei Babys! Unsere Tochter durfte sogar auf dem Gypsy Cob reiten und war im 7. Himmel! Das Haus wird von 3 großen Hunden bewacht, die aber durch einen Zaun abgetrennt sind - somit auch für Nicht-Hunde-Liebhaber kein Problem. Vielen Dank nochmals für diese 2 wundervollen Wochen!

Location facile d accès au calme

Location dans un endroit très calme proche des Pyrénées et de Carcassonne idéalement situé le seul bémol qu’on pourrait apporter c’est qu,il faut enjamber la coursive pour accéder à l’habitation qui comporte trois marches pour descendre. Proprietaire très sympathique qui nous ont fourni des légumes et des œufs pour le 1er soir.
