"Lovely resort, incredibly family friendly. Kids club is great if child is over 3 years old. Very relaxing stay, only downside is beach is quite rocky compared to others visited in Crete, but you can always use the pool. "

If you plan to visit in May as we did, know the water will be fresh (!), and private pools might be too chilly to truly enjoy - though they'll still offer the perfect backdrop for some of the best photos you may ever take! "We just got back from Crete. The Royal Belvedere Resort offers various pools, dining and recreation options for couples and families. We really went for the Olympic 50 meter swimming pool. We swim laps and this was a challenge as our regular pool is 25 meters. Also we went a little off season. Food was good and plenty of it. We also took a taxi to the Old Hersonissos village and walked back. My wife had a great time shopping by the beach area shops. We will go back."
