Guest Houses in Mauritius

This is a really nice little guest house. The owner personally greeted us when we arrived and showed us around. The pool and surrounding grounds are well-maintained and tastefully decorated. The room was comfortable and very clean; no complaints whatsoever. The guest house is a 10 minute walk to Pereybere and a 25 minute walk to Grand Bay; unfortunately there's not much in terms of restaurants or stores close to the Bleu de Toi, but plenty of options in Pereybere. The owner was absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. Location is right next to the bus station so very convenient. Also right next to the Monday market. Not a lot to do here, especially on Sunday but very relaxing and easy to get around the island by bus.

This is a basic no-frills hotel, but more than makes up for its basic amenities with a warm welcome and better-than-average breakfast. We arrived with our 1-year-old baby and the friendly owner played with him while we ate breakfast, provided us with a complimentary crib, gave us a free room upgrade, and was quite helpful with travel arrangements. Manager was very helpful and made every effort to meet our needs. Has laundry service available. Need to remember that not all toiletries are included, like shampoo. Only has stairs to all rooms. Convenient to have a kitchenette available with a few dishes. Bathroom and shower were clean and worked well. Overall a great stay for the price.

Good location. Cool vibe. Rooms by street will noisy so ask for a room away from the street.
