"Great location near the train station. Free bikes. Amazing Breakfast. Lovely staff. Clean rooms. Great shopping and an easy walk to the harbor to pick up the boats to Cinque Terre."
"Beautiful, modern hotel with a large outdoor pool as well as an indoor pool and spa - and lovely rooftop bar/ restaurant. Excellent breakfast. Staff were extremely helpful and just about everyone, from front desk to bars and restaurants, speaks English."
"Our stay at Madüneta 5 Terre Guesthouse was lovely. The staff were helpful for parking the car and getting us set up. We had a gourous view of the ocean from our window room.
We didn’t get to explore the other amenities, it would have been nice to have an explainer of what we had access to when we checked in. We also had booked this room thinking we had a balcony but then we didn’t actually when we arrived, it was a bit confusing."
"A great property. I've stayed there many nights over the last five years and always have a good experience. Good facitlity, good staff, close to the train station (15 minute walk), and good restaurants in the area"
"Case Dane is right at the La Spezia Train Station. I had my concerns re noise, but it was amazing, we had absolutely no issues. The room and the bathroom were spacious, clean with the little things you expect: coffee, fridge, safety box, etc.
The breakfast is more of a snack (coffee, juice and croissant/foccaccia), at a cafe a few steps away. While frugal, it was tasty.
The staff was amazing. Giuglia was very attentive, helping us with everything and keeping in touch ahead of our stay. All of the staff were amazing. The manager took the time to guide me on his moped, to the garage, which really was just around the corner.
Parking was convenient and secure (a private underground spot: a garage for 1 car, with its own door, inside a bigger underground garage). If you are driving, you will need to make sure you provide your license plate ahead of time.
No hassles checking-in or out.
The location was great. Being at the train station allowed us to get trains to Cinque Terre easily and walk down the main pedestrian strip in la Spezia, all the way to the Marina, through the historic centre.
I recommend it."
"Really lovely property! Outdoor jacuzzi was lush, as was the seating area. The room was nice, airy and open, and was handy to have the hob and microwave.
The staff are helpful and kind. Can’t complain about location as it’s close to the shops and the beach. Beware that it is rather expensive to go to the beach bars, and towel hire at the hotel came to €20 euros for one day of hiring for us (although it said €5 euros per day so should’ve been max €10). Other than that, very nice experience. Would recommend!"
"Upon arrival the lift wasn't working, so we had to climb up to the 4th floor with all our bags. It was repaired that day.
Great location near shops, restaurants and trains/buses. Room was small with no kitchenette; only kettle, very small fridge and coffee pod machine. You have to use bathroom sink for water. Only provided coffee cups and teaspoons, so all meals have to be eaten out, which doesn't really suit us traveling with children.
Block out shutters, curtains and comfy bed meant great sleep.
Staff were very responsive."
