« This was one of the best places I have stayed in a long time. The look of the Ribchester Arms, when we arrived, was impressive. We had a very large room and bathroom, both very modern with a 'fridge and juices, milk, drinks and biscuits. The staff were very helpful and looked after us. Breakfast was freshly cooked and pretty good. We ate there a couple of nights and the food was wonderful. A recommended place to stay . »

« Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here. »

« What a terrific spot! The bar was comfy, and cosy; the room clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed, and wonderful view of the viaduct and Whernside. And, the fish & chips - exceptional! For us, the staff made our stay, Will, Courtney, Angela, & Val, couldn't do enough for us, despite a very busy bank holiday weekend. « Spotlessly clean, wonderful hosts, excellent (and huge!) breakfast. Lovely towpath walk along the canal into the town centre. Only marked down because when we booked, the room was described as en suite when in fact the shower room was separate, shared and up a steep flight of stairs. »

« Wonderful overnight stay with our springer spaniel . Lovely clean and spacious dog friendly room in the Annex with a fabulous view . Set in wonderful grounds with lovely outdoor areas and enjoyed a great circular walk down to the river. All staff were so friendly and the steak for the evening meal was cooked perfectly as was the very generous breakfast . Definitely be back »

« We were comfortable in our room but we found it unusual that the cleaning staff weren’t cleaning rooms until very late in the day. So the first day we said just leave our room for today but we do require a few things (TP and coffee). Other than that our room was never refreshed at all. The front of the property had two lovely patio sets however staff had overlooked cleaning them, so we gave them a quick brush off so we could use them. « Staff were very pleasant, friendly and exceptionally helpful. The decor in the room was beautiful and it was very clean with plenty of tea making facilities including ‘proper’ mugs and a teapot with tea cosy which was a lovely extra. However the room was very, very small and it did not have any drawers or wardrobe to store clothes (there was a small rail in the corner with four hangers to hang a few items). The en-suite was also very small but it was supplied with lovely White Company...
