The only issue is the last mile or so of the drive getting to the cabin and the driveway. The final stretch of road is dirt and quite muddy when it rains. The driveway is very steep and difficult to back out of. We brought our 24 Silverado ZR2 lifted truck and my steps still scraped a little backing out of the driveway. Luckily we brought my truck on the trip because a car wouldn’t have made it. There is a spot to park at the top of the property though if your vehicle can’t use the driveway.Overall, the property is great though. House is laid out great for family visits. Our stay at Tree Top Lodge was so nice and relaxing! The views were absolutely beautiful, and I can only imagine how breathtaking they would be during peak fall foliage. The home itself is beautifully decorated, with a great flow—definitely an entertainer’s dream.We did lose power twice, which was a bit disappointing, especially the first time when I was just about to start dinner. Thankfully, the owner was very responsive and came right over to reset the breaker. The second outage seemed to be from a storm, but it came back on just in time for checkout, so we were able to make to go coffees with no problem. A helpful tip for future guests: be sure to stock up on groceries and essentials before making the trek up the mountain—it’s definitely up there!
