When booking the full estate, your group enjoys exclusive use of three separate homes, all located within the quiet, residential portion of the property. The estate layout is intentional. Optional on-site dining and seasonal events are located near the entrance of the property and operate independently from the guest homes. Once past this area, the remainder of the estate functions as a private residential environment, offering open space, outdoor gathering areas, fire pits, and peaceful surroundings. Twin Willows provides a rare balance of privacy, space, and optional convenience — a secluded mountain setting with food, drinks, and events available when desired. Property Layout & Guest Access Guests have exclusive access to all three private homes and the residential portions of the 14-acre estate, including walking areas, outdoor gathering spaces, fire pits, and lawn games. Optional dining and event spaces are located near the entrance of the property and are clearly separated from the guest homes. Parking is provided near each home, with designated areas for multiple vehicles. Interaction with Guests Self check-in is provided. We’re nearby and available by message if assistance or recommendations are needed. Staff may be present near the entrance during food service hours or scheduled events, but interaction is always guest-initiated. Privacy is respected throughout your stay. Important Notes / House Rules • The estate is reserved exclusively for your group • Ideal for families, reunions, retreats, and wedding weekends • Not intended for parties or late-night events • Quiet hours are observed across the estate • Optional food, beverage service, and events are seasonal • A detailed Estate House Manual is provided before arrival Directions Twin Willows is located in Mars Hill, NC, approximately 25 minutes north of Asheville. Follow GPS to the Twin Willows entrance (525 Cascade St, Mars Hill NC) Upon arrival, proceed past the parking area for on-site dining and event spaces near the entrance and continue into the residential portion of the estate where the guest homes are located. The Main House is an historic, old building with character - respect of buildings with interesting floor plans from days gone by will help you embrace this space. Terrific porch spaces. Washers and dryers are all new and work well. Great water pressure throughout. Once in bedrooms, you'll appreciate how quiet things are - no road noise. We love to eat at Smokin' Joe's on property. We loved having the Stables as a gathering spot for coffee, meals and evening drinks as well as the little "bar" down the hill for cornhole and hanging out together after being out for the day. There was nothing we wanted for; all houses were well stocked and our host, Joe, was beyond helpful, super responsive and considerate with providing suggestions on things to do in the area. The property is beautiful, and it was perfect to be able to spread out our group across the three buildings. And the chapel was the cutest little spot to have our ceremony. The fire pit is amazing but keep in mind that the whole place is situated on the side of a hill so anyone with physical difficulties may struggle in between the buildings or to get up to the fire pit spot. We would definitely recommend this place - it was also super convenient to town but felt remote at the same time. The property is beautiful with plenty of places to explore or sit down and hang out. The whole estate is absolutely gorgeous and we loved the view off of the patio there! No complaints about the facilities or the rooms. Location: It's around a 20-minute drive to get into Asheville, but we didn't mind that. It was incredibly convenient to have coffee, Ingles, Waffle House, etc. so close to the property; it absolutely removed all stress about having food. You can easily walk to the Mars Hill University campus and access downtown and a nice running path from there (you're only on the road for about 500 feet before you get to a sidewalk). Joe was extremely responsive to a few requests we had and was a great host! ##### Gregory D. Facility was GREAT for multi-family gathering. Joe, the new owner, was GREAT and very responsive to deal with. Only minor surprise was the big kitchen and eating room is in the Stables - not the Stines House (that sleeps 14). The Stines kitchen is too small to pull off big event. The kitchen and eating area in the Stables worked very well. All worked for us, but if we hadn't rented the Stables too, we would have been disappointed.
