« Pauline the owner was very accommodating. The place was clean, and off the beaten trail, so very quiet. We will be back. Only thing I would add is a grill for our stay. There was a dish washer to use, which was great. And wood there for a fire. Bonus! »

« Wonderful place! Everything was exactly as described. The cabin was perfect for 5 teenage girls and two adults. We had a good balance of “chilling out” and taking in the UP. There was plenty of space for the girls to spread out. The location was perfect - just over an hour to Pictured Rocks and less than 20 minutes to the beaches in Gladstone and Escanaba. « Such a wonderful, peaceful trip for our family of four. We've been through a lot lately with my husband's diagnosis of ALS and really needed the perfect place to make memories together. Thank you! »

« Charlie was a great host. He was very accommodating. The house had everything you needed. From activities to the well stocked kitchen. The only thing you need to bring is your food. The lodge runs on solar power but honestly you wouldn't even know, it really didn't effect how we went about the day. There is so much to do there that I never heard my 4 grankids say I am bored. As for the 4 adult children they constantly were entertained by what the lodge had available. We never left the property...

« Our family, consisting of my husband and I, three adult daughters, 4 adult Grandkids and our dog had a great time at the Lazy Bear Lodge. The ride back to the lodge is a bit rough, but it is remote! Beautiful setting, games, campfires, antique shopping and visiting waterfalls for our 10 day stay. »

« Exactly what a quiet week Up North should be. Cabin was well-furnished, five (!!) different boats provided, firewood provided, quiet lake with, from what I could tell, 5 total cabins on it. Almost zero mosquitos, but a good amount of flies by the shore. Hosts escorted us to the property at check-in, which I was not used to, but because it's so far off the road that's really the best way to do it. »
