Great location, right on the bridge so less than 5 mins walk to the high street, ample parking, just register your number plate with reception when you park. Rooms are lovely and spacious, bathrooms are dated but clean.

The hotel location is great, although the bedrooms and interior is tired and needs some modernisation! But it clean and staff were friendly!
Most staff were great. Overnight desk person was the exception, never able to truly help and always quick with the excuses (wasn’t supposed to be on tonight etc)

Amazing location. Wonderful staff. Last renovated circa 1982. Breakfast was dreadful. A real shame it’s so run down.
Spent lovely three nights in large twin room with balcony in sight of the Thames. The beds were very comfortable ,as also were the two elegant armchairs and table. Tea/ coffee making facility was very good and tea/ coffee and biscuits replenished each day.. The generous bathroom , with bath and separate shower, was spotlessly clean and hot water constant. Car parking close to entrance was very convenient.
Would definitely look forward to returning in the near future.
This did not affect us at all but the exterior paintwork was in need of some TLC.
Lovely hotel, great location. Excellent parking. The only main was it was quite warm in the room but it was a exceptionally warm night

I booked a deluxe room but we stayed in a standard room. We were only there for one night so I couldn’t be bothered to kick up a fuss.
There was a big stain on the carpet and the air con wasn’t great.
Otherwise a comfortable stay. The staff were attentive and pleasant.
The setting is magnificent but the hotel itself feels a little tired in places.
Free parking was a great perk.
Location location location. It's lovely and a 2 minute walk to down town. Their outside seating is magnificent, and a front desk, and concierge/bell staff are first rate in a myriad of ways. Super helpful, kind, knowledgeable...make you feel most welcome. Overall... in appearance, it needs a little refresh, but it is very clean and the rooms have size and lots of light. Parking is more than ample, easy and close to the front desk/your room, so that's nice and easy to go back to your car and get something. We had only one problem and that was navigating the bar for a beverage as the inside bartender was less than helpful..so if you're unfamiliar with how it works, ask the bartender for your drink and pay for it on the spot- and don't wait for someone to come to you even if he tells you to do that (though the outside seating / bar area by the river had lovely and amazingly attentive professionals). The town has more than it's share of restaurants, bars, shopping, a Wine bar, and if you walk to the top of the street (where it makes a T)..there are more shops/ restaurants either way. Saturday markets are wonderful - both an antique market at the top of the street (just past the butchers) and also a market by the bridge. It's a lovely and well manicured, and lively town. Five stars
We love this place but it is getting tired. The maintenance is in need of an uplift and the rooms and lounge areas need a refit. Still a lovely stay and Sindhu was excellent for lunch. The reception staff for the hotel were OK but lacked motivation to welcome their guests with any enthusiasm. Breakfast was excellent and the setting for the hotel sets this apart from most.
Offered upgrade to suite with either river or weir views and ended up near the bridge overlooking the entrance. That said the suite was lovely although 2 of the TV's werent working, a cupboard door was broken and there was insufficient toilet roll. tea/coffee selection was poor and what there was, was insufficient.
If iy wasnt for the location which is amazing and the local town, the hotel would score badly.
