For this booking, you will have access to the entire main house and premises. We give our guests privacy but are available by app, text, email or phone anytime. We take pride in providing our guests a great stay. A lovely scenic drive into Yosemite National Park. Located in between the west gate and south gate. Just 33.9 miles to the park entrance and 45 miles to the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center from the west gate. Mariposa, its name is Spanish for "butterfly", after the flocks of monarchs seen overwintering there by early explorers. The town of Mariposa, first settled in 1849, is the southernmost in the Gold Rush chain of towns. The streets follow the original street grid laid out by John C. Fremont in 1850\. Several disastrous early fires convinced settlers to rebuild with stone, brick and adobe. Consequently, many of today's existing structures in the historic downtown had been built by the late eighteen fifties, with most of the remaining ones completed by nineteen hundred. Because they have always been in use, the old buildings haven't had to be restored or recreated. Change has come gracefully to Mariposa. Mariposa has retained the small town charm of a bygone era, so you won't see strip malls or chain stores, and Mariposa remains one of a handful of California towns without a stop light. Our property is a 6 minute drive into the historic town of Mariposa. You'll find a full service grocery store, a health food store, bars, ice cream shop, restaurants & diners, a museum, retail shops, wine shops, olive oil tasting room and even a community park and public pool. So much to explore in Mariposa! For a hassle-free trip into Yosemite, consider using the park n' ride in town; YARTS, will take you into the park, no entry-fee required. The great room and kitchen are so inviting when you open the door you realize you made the right choice! The view out the back is incredible, the hot tub is awesome and the fire pit was wonderful. Everything is modern but country chic, perfect for the area. The location was an easy hour drive to Yosemite Valley. We loved the privacy and the flock of wild turkeys that visited daily. Anh put a lot of thought into this home, wireless chargers on the night stands, portable fans in each bedroom (to drown out the silence)Lol. Larger than it appears in the listing. Views from back patio are wonderful. Well stocked kitchen. Nice decor. Good location. We loved our stay at the moon ranch. They had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, including toys for the kids. The home was beautiful and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Pictures do not do the beautiful property justice. We really enjoyed the space and the access to hot tub, grill, fire pit, etc. The hot tub and comfy beds were perfect after a long day on the trails. The house has everything one would need for a stay in Mariposa. The kitchen area and outside deck were wonderful to watch the mountains and birds outside. Especially mornings in the hammock. The ranch was just like the photos and Anh was a thoughtful and responsive host. The check in process was easy and details of the house’s amenities were provided. We spent time in Yosemite and Mariposa. The town had great shops and restaurants to explore. However, the ranch had all the utilities to cook in as well. Even before start of trip, Anh was great in communication and providing all detail information that we need for this trip. This ranch house is newly renovated and has it all you needed for memorable trip. House is situated on hill with great view from patio. Ranch is not to far from Yosemite. This is prefect place for family with kids. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Living room was large and comfortable. The kitchen is big enough and had every utensil, bowl and cooking implement that we could imagine. We loved sitting on the deck watching great view.Everyone slept comfortably.
