Great stay in Marfa
A great option for a stay in Marfa. The house was exactly as advertised and spotlessly clean. The owner was in touch the whole time and very responsive. One shower did not get hot but as there was another it wasn't hugely inconvenient. It's on a quiet edge of town, which was nice for sleeping but still really convenient to drive, or a nice walk, to the center of things.

Fabulous House
We loved staying in this house. It was meticulously clean. Beds were comfortable, and the house was so relaxing for us. Kitchen was stocked by people who cook and entertain, which we loved, and the patio area in back was great for star watching at night and eating lunch in daytime. We loved listening to all the birds, and watching neighborhood cats slinking through the grasses. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

We loved it!
Great location, comfortable beds, plenty of nice towels, well stocked kitchen and comfortable living/dining area. The house was sparkling clean, we used the kitchen, coffee maker and did a load of laundry. We used two of the bedrooms (out of 4) and everyone slept great! We never had an opportunity to use the fire pit but it’s a nice addition. I think anyone would be very satisfied with this property, we will stay here again!

Feel like a local
Me, my sister and our dog Copper loved this house. We stayed 3 nights in mid-January. We were not lacking in any amenities, felt completely safe and cozy. The view around the home is beautiful. Walking the neighborhood and cooking at home, it was easy to feel like locals. We would definitely stay here again. Tips we want to share: Para Llevar has vegan cheese 🙌 And hiking booties for puppy paws is a worthwhile investment. The little dessert burs are no joke. Many thanks to our host Robert!

Great location, excellent stay!
We stayed at this property over New Year's and were very happy with our choice! The house was very clean and spacious and had abundant supplies. We loved the firepit in the backyard. The location was near to all that Marfa has to offer. Robert, the owner, was very proactive and clear in his communications with us. Would definitely recommend this property and we would stay here again!

Clean, Quiet, and Stylish
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Guesthouse! Check in was super easy - key pad on door, easy to find. The location of the house is perfect - on the edge of town (because Marfa is small, close to all sites) so super quiet, very comfortable with a nice sized kitchen and living room with large dining table. 4 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, we had plently of space. Although we did not use the outdoor space, it is well appointed with a grill, firepit, and fence for your pets. And Robert does allow pets! We highly recommend the Guesthouse if you're staying in Marfa!!!

Shops are closed on Sunday
We all arrived on Friday night which was too late to visit shops. So Saturday we decided to find some shops in Marfa to visit. My husband want to stop by the Boarder Patrol office, he worked with them when he was working for Immigration & Natz. Years ago. Met a very nice BP agent that showed us around and told about all the changes they have made since he left the service. The next day we went to Alpine thinking we will find some nice shops but we were wrong, everything was closed. That was very disappointing but we were there to see our son from Phoenix and we did enjoy that.

Reunion in West Texas
House has everything you need! The beds are awesome with extra sheets. Towels are soft and white! Hot water is on hot! Big lot with lots of space. We cooked in the evenings and the kitchen has everything you need from food processor to a great dishwasher. Already planning our next trip and this location and house is the top of the list. Very clean and safe.

Awesome House in Marfa
We've stayed here twice for the Marfa 100 bike ride. This year we had 4 couples staying. Plenty of room for all. Super clean house in a gread location. Plenty of outdoor seating on the patio with a nice, big gas grill. We grilled steaks and bake potatoes for our last night. We will always try to stay here when visiting Marfa.

Great House for family of 8
We had a wonderful time at the Marfa House. It was spotless when we arrived and smelled fresh and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the bedding was luxurious. The amenities were so nice. I especially enjoyed the Beekman toiletries. The kitchen was very well stocked and easy to use. We had 4 adults and 4 children. Everyone was happy at this house in Marfa!!

Our family of six really enjoyed our time in this amazing little house in Marfa. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out. The beds were comfortable and plenty of towels and shower items. We cooked one evening and had all the basics we needed and the grill was also nice. The house was exceptionally clean and we wouldn’t hesitate or stay again.

Birthday Celebration
This was a surprise get away for our mom, there were 4 adults total. This place can easily sleep 8 if sharing beds. Marfa was the perfect spot to stay to see all that we wanted. We visited Ft. Davis, Marfa, Alpine and Big Bend National Park. The location was great and the property was very nice. Everything was clean and inviting. This is such a great place to stay. If we are ever in the area again we will for sure want to stay at this same place!!

Big house with everything!
This property had literally everything you needed! It was a huge house with plenty of room and so close to down town. Robert was great and allowed us to check in a little early and everything. Also the beds were extremely comfy!

Perfect first time visit to Big Bend
After living in Texas for 27 years, we made our first visit to the Big Bend area with other long time friends. The Marfa Guest House was perfect for us! Clean, roomy, comfortable, supplied with all we needed. The beds were very comfy to sleep on after our long days of hiking. The bathrooms were clean with wonderful towels. Both couples had small dogs which enjoyed the home and backyard as well! Robert was very responsive to our questions about restaurants even before we arrived. We really appreciated his suggestions. Very easy check in and check out. We highly recommend The Marfa Guest House and Robert! We hope to return and we will be staying here again! Thank you Robert!

My friends and I stayed on Robert’s property for a weekend trip to Marfa. The home was exactly as described and perfect for us. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds, the kitchen was well stocked with tools and essentials, the bathrooms were great for our group of six, and the living room/dining room were great hang out spots. Our favorite part was the backyard! It was a cool weekend in Marfa, so we got to use the fire pit. Communication with Robert was great, especially given the problems I experienced through the VRBO app. Beautiful home, great host, definitely recommend this property.

My son, daughter-in-law, 2 granddaughters, and I spent 4 nights in this house and had a wonderful time. It was attractive, comfortable, clean and well-stocked. The host’s restaurant suggestions were very helpful, and the house was convenient to the area adventures and sights we enjoyed. As escapees from Austin’s 100+ temperatures, we particularly enjoyed eating breakfast on the patio every morning and making s’mores our last night. We will definitely come back!

Great stay in Marfa
We loved our stay in the Marfa guest house. The house was exactly as advertised. The beds were extremely comfortable and our whole family slept great every night we were there. The house was fully stocked with plenty of towels, extra pillows and all bathroom amenities. It is close to town and only took 5 mins or less to get to anything in town. Communication with the owner was great - very timely and always friendly. We would stay here again if we are ever out in Marfa!

Convenient and clean
Grandmother, Son, Grandsons made this our home base for a short visit to McDonald Observatory and surrounding areas and were really only in the house to sleep and bathe/dress, but it worked perfectly for us. We didn't use the kitchen, but it looked well-stocked. Bedrooms, beds, bathrooms, other facilities were all very clean and in excellent condition.

Perfect West Texas Getaway
I’ve stayed in a lot of rentals in West Texas, and this house is by far the best. It was very clean, comfortable, and very well stocked. The patio is clean and enclosed (Incase of javelinas…), and great for stargazing. The location is great too. It’s the perfect home base for seeing all the surrounding area sites!
