Pleasant stay in heart of Marennes
There is a chambre d'hote feel to this little apartment at the rear of a house belonging to a friendly young family. Occupants have use of the garden and private access via the back of the garden. The ensuite shower room seems brand new with excellent shower.
I think this is a new venture for the owners and there were some "teething problems". There was no obvious access to free wifi and the owner never mentioned it. Perhaps some printed instructions would have helped. There was also a problem with the lock of the door to the property. Neither of us, nor the owner's partner, could manage to unlock the door and, although the owner himself came and had the special knack of unlocking it, we decided to risk leaving the door permanently unlocked throughout our stay for fear of finding ourselves locked out. This lock situation needs addressing.
Despite these little inconveniences, we thoroughly enjoyed the four days spent in this property.
