A great find on Manitoulin Island for people passing through or staying a while. Motel has a good website, is easy to find and has plenty of parking. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Best bathrooms I have seen in a while...so clean you might actually have a bath as opposed to a shower. How often can you say that? Attentive and helpful owner who is ready to provide directions and recommendations on where to eat. Stays open late if you are on that last ferry out of Tobermory.

We travelled to Manitoulin for a one night stopover, not the typical trip for visitors to this area. My Friends Inn is owned and managed by a young couple who have obviously taken great pride in creating their idea of a motel with a touch of B & B atmosphere. The facility is in a very quiet area, walk to the local shoreline attractions and each unit is well equipped. We really enjoyed our one-night stay at Auberge Eldo Inn! The room was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and having coffee and bottled water was a nice bonus. We also loved the little USB charger beside the bed, such a thoughtful and convenient touch! Everything was clean and well maintained, including the outdoor entrance. The staff were so friendly and even walked us to our room. We felt very welcome and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!
