The back porch picture was when it was first built and it was also dated and not very clean (in my opinion). Definitely worth the price and I would stay there again if I had a group more on a budget. « Beautiful house, fantastic location and very responsive host! My husband, myself and our 24 year old daughter were visiting the Cortez area, mostly to see Mesa Verde. I thought we'd just stay one or two nights in the area, but once I found this property, we booked 5 nights! The hiking out the back gate is amazing (just go early if you're there in the summer - that sun is intense) and the drive to Mesa Verde is short. « This is a nice mountain retreat away from the noise of the city. It is only about 15 minutes from the Train Depot, and other downtown sites. The host is easy to communicate with. During our stay we learned the difference between the lock on the door knob and the electronic locking device. The two are not related.
