Summary: Mammoth Lakes is a great place to stay for a mountain getaway. The Space: You are in a prime location perfect for accessing activities during the warm and cold seasons. Shops, restaurants, fishing spots, and hiking and biking trails are close by. Golf courses are a quick drive away. Skiers and snowboarders will love the nearby green line shuttle stop which travels to the Eagle Lodge and the Village. Hang your winter gear and coats on the mudroom wall by the entrance. The living room has comfortable seating around a TV and a wood burning fireplace. Gather around after a day on the slopes with the fireplace going and some hot cocoa. A VCR, telephone (local calls only), wood, and high-speed internet access are provided for your entertainment. The couch also functions as a sofa sleeper for 2. The fully stocked kitchen has a drip coffee maker, toaster, slow cooker, blender, pots/pans and more. Enjoy early morning breakfasts with your group before some skiing and snowboarding. The deck has additional firewood and views of the surrounding area. The master bedroom is furnished with a Queen bed, TV, and private bathroom. The second bedroom holds a Queen bunkbed and TV. A second bathroom with a standalone shower is available for guests to share. There are 2 outdoor parking spots with permits. The community sauna, hot tub, rec room, and laundry facilities are available year round. The recreation room has a ping pong table, pool table, and video games. The communal pool, tennis court, picnic area, and BBQ stations are only available during the summer. THINGS TO NOTE: \- Horizons 4 is not a pet friendly complex. You could the dirt stuck on the couch. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were 30 years old. We put blankets on them because we were disgusted to sit on them directly. There are some things that could be done to help first. Some nonstick pans would be helpful. There’s just a mishmash of old kitchen wear. Also the light switch in the master bathroom was broken finally, we did have an issue when we first got there with the codes that were sent to open the door. The outlets horrendous (literally had to hold plug the only outlet in the kitchen to run an appliance). Bathroom light didn’t work and still didn’t work after Grand Welcome fixed it. The sliding door unusable, inaccurate information regarding the hvac system given to us by Grand Welcome in advance of renting property. From the management to the property itself, it was a complete disaster.The unit was completely unprepared. There was only one trash bag, no dishwasher pods, no cleaner to wipe counters, and only three rolls of toilet paper for two bathrooms. And to top it off, there was only a half-roll of paper towels.The yard crew was even worse. While blowing dirt and leaves off the parking spots, they blew onto cars and then used the blower to clean them, which scratched our car.To make matters worse, we arrived at the condo not cleaned and then a second condo that wasn’t cleaned either. With poor direction to get into the third unit, which required management to come out (2 hours from arrival to finally get into a cleaned unit, only to have to switch back to the original the next day.)A refund of 100 is not acceptable for the trouble and issues we’ve faced.We reserve condos in Mammoth several times throughout the year, as well as for friends and team members. We’ve never experienced anything like this before. It’s clear that this complex is old and not well-maintained, and the management seems inexperienced with inadequate staff. ##### Tina S. The layout is pretty good also. Although the kitchen is decent size, the cooking utensils are abysmal. No sharp knives (not unusual) so bring your own.
