« Very old property with an antique charm. Our bedroom was very well taken care of. Our only complaint would be the bathroom being a little narrow and damp. But these are things that must be traded off for when considering the age of the building. Its proximity to the Yorkminster made it very nice and easy. The food and drink as well as food service was very good. Servers and bartender were knowledgeable about the drinks and gave us good advice when it was needed. »

« Bel établissement, bien situé en centre ville. Accueil très sympathique. Alors que nous avons constaté une légère anomalie celle ci a pu être traitée et rectifiée. Environnement clean, mais la chambre est petite et on peut se sentir à l’étroit. »

« Lovely hotel, situated in a lovely village with views of Whitby abbey from our window, recently renovated. Bedroom was nice and clean as was bathroom, 2 pillows were provided one hardish the other soft but flatter, could have done with something in between. Evening meal and breakfast were good, well cooked and hot. Was in a lovely quiet area so very quiet on a night. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Could do with a shower holder in the shower so not bobbing up and down to get things...

« Superbe hotel,très joli,très bon restaurant,seul soucis avec la chambre,nous étions directement sous les toits et il faisait une temperature irrespirable,a cause de la chaleur inhabituelle »

« Second time here and just as good as the first, very good condition, extremely comfortable room and bed and rear facing bedroom is quiet. Breakfast was OK but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The Hotel couldnt be located in a better position for access to the town and plenty of on-site parking. »

« Two adults and 2 children stayed in no2 cottage. A compact one bedroom cottage with a large comfortable bed and sofa bed in sitting room. Kitchen has all you need for short stay. Vehicles kept in gated area, so very secure. Stu and his wife are friendly, their breakfast was excellent quality for price (additional charge). This must be the cheapest pub in the UK.(£3 pint) Overall we had a very pleasant 3 nights. Thank you. »
