A nice cottage, and ideal for a family. On arrival we thought it more attractive than its web photos, and found it well equipped. We appreciated the large garden and the conservatory, which made it quite flexible for a grown-up family. The kitchen is a good size and had everything we needed. Malton is very close and has all the facilities you'd need, shops, supermarkets, massive ironmongers, eateries ... Minuses are a slightly busy road at the front, and a tendency to cow noises at the back (you are next to a farm, what do you expect?) but neither bothered us very much. And the same road means connections to all those lovely places nearby are really easy. We would have stayed a second week: we were all very content there. What a lovely place to come and enjoy a week away from home. Well placed for local attractions like Malton ("Food Capital of North Yorkshire") and Castle Howard, and easy to get to York and into the Moors and to the coast. Well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and a good shower, a nice conservatory and a huge back garden. Much bigger inside than you would think from seeing the outside. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you!
