"We were at the Chicaugon last year for our anniversary, and truly enjoyed it, so we decided to do our 47th anniversary there again this year. It is a wonderful place with gracious staff. We really like the "hot tub room"! Everything is clean and we'll maintained, and the continental breakfast was generous and delicious. Highly recommend!!! Thank you, Chicaugon, for a wonderful stay!"
"Beautiful clean. lake water and sandy bottom.Excellent weather for the summer. You do need to be careful walking down to the lake as it’s a bit steep."
Fortune Ridge: The Perfect Summer Getaway: Kayaking, Swimming & Bonfires
10/10 Excellent
"Very nice property, very clean. The lake was very clear and mostly calm. The fish were not biting unfortunately while we were there. The first two days we stayed (in mid-July) were nice and comfortable. The third night was very warm and almost everyone ended up sleeping in the basement due to no A/C the first floor and loft were very hot. However, we got the impression that most times of the year that lack of A/C would not be an issue. The neighbor had a dog that roamed freely and spent nearly an entire day in our yard. Not a concern, and it seemed nice, not aggressive, just something to be aware of. We also saw mink and deer. Overall a great stay and would recommend."
Private, Family/Pet-Friendly, Log Cabin on Waterfront Chicaugon Lake Property.
10/10 Excellent
"Family trip and wanted more family time and NO TV. Secluded cabin and access to water toys. Mosquitoes were biting, but bring plenty of repellant. Camp fire every night. Solar and generator provided power. Generator enclosed and away from cabin. Ate breakfast and lunch at the cabin and went out for dinner. Alice's in Iron River is excellent and then there's Curious Pig in Crystal Falls. Very good BBQ joint. If you're looking to get away, this is the place. Ron, owner, is very personable and replies if you have questions."
"This is a great property. Even better than we were anticipating! It's new, so there are a few additions needed (i.e. things for the kitchen like kitchen knife, can opener, wine glasses). The owner was very receptive to feedback and has planned amenities coming soon. I loved the "zen den" off the TV room for relaxation, as well as the clean, cool lake. The bathroom was clean, spacious, and has a really great shower. Multiple fans and screened windows and doors help keep things cool, especially at night. The location is also a great jumping off point for U.P. activities (hiking, waterfalls, etc.) Piers Gorge is the best hike nearby, just FYI. Love that the property is also dog friendly and included a dog bed! We enjoyed ourselves so much that we're already considering a return visit in the fall."
"Clean rooms and Janelle provided us with information about the B&B very helpful and made us a wonderful homemade breakfast. We would stay there definitely"
