"Very charming well-cared for hotel with lake view scenery. The rooms were spotless. The hotel has VCR's in each room with a library of fun VHS tape movies to bring to your room and watch, should you desire a little TV time. There are nearby walking paths and the hotel is about a 15 minute drive to Alpha or Iron River. Both Alpha and Iron River have one of a kind pubs and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation. They do serve a continental breakfast at 7 am. We were up much earlier than that and out the door, so we didn't experience the breakfast. They do have vending machines and ice. The rooms do "not" have coffee pots and coffee is not served until 7 am, so if you want coffee prior to that, then you have to bring your own travel pot or there is a coffee shop in Iron River/Gas stations as well that serve coffee. Our stay was perfect. The staff was wonderful. We support local small business. This place checks all the boxes."

"The cabin was perfect. Beautiful inside and out. Cleanest place I have ever stayed in. The lake was gorgeous with the colors. Very well stocked. The 4 seasons room and huge deck were so nice to sit back and enjoy the views. The fireplace inside is beautiful and warm on those chilly mornings. Very quiet and private. Our Goldendoodle felt very comfortable here. This cabin makes you feel like you belong there and you never want to leave (which we didn’t want to). The pictures and history of the cabin were very interesting. We are definitely thinking about booking for next year already. Thanks for a beautiful place to get away from it all."

"Enjoyed our group trip to this waterfront U.P. Retreat. The split level allowed us to have both pets and guests with pet allergies to stay in the same place. The lake has been treated for Milfoil and is clear with beautiful reflection of fall colors. Extremely peaceful with barely any waves. We rented a fishing boat w/motors from a nearby resort and the Cabin has all major amenities. The basement bedroom and full bath was suitable and while you have a shower curtain instead of bedroom door to block light/sound - the fully furnished bar and walkout door to lake makes up for it.There are many kitchen utensils and cookware however we were glad to have brought a few favorite items to cook with if needed. Close enough to town for anything you need while far enough to get some peace and quiet. Alpha Brewing or Logans’ Place are good options nearby."

"We were amazed how quiet and peaceful it was all week. I especially appreciated the kayak and how smooth the water in the slough was, also crystal clear, shallow. I felt I was the only one on the lake most of the time. Water is very shallow there, great for everyone. My husband fished right on the shore sitting in a lawn chair, pulled in fish one after another. So very relaxing. Great fire pit and plenty of wood."
