"Property, room and amenities were immaculate. Took advantage of the pool (super clean). Breakfast was great and had something for everyone. Staff were super attentive during breakfast service to ensure guests were happy. Everything you need is right next door, Walmart, gas, Home Depot and more. All within walking distance. Highly recommend for anyone, with kids or otherwise."

Algonquin Cabin on the Magnetawan river

"Quiet, basic off-grid cabin with two doubles and one twin bed. Wood-burning stove kept it cozy. Kitchen is well-stocked with utensils, plates, knives, cutting board, and some spices. Also had blankets, board games, playing cards, one interior light, and one outlet with an extension cord for charging phones.The cabin is on a shared property with the owners living just steps away, but we never saw or heard them — it felt completely private.Things to know:No running water or plumbing — bring your own waterLimited lighting, so pack a lantern, flashlight, or headlamp for the cabin and outhouseLong, bumpy driveway — drive carefullyNext to a fast, rocky river (access is around the side of the property and not easy)Short drive to Doe Lake Beach & campground (beach, ice cream truck, boat access)Nice visit to Brooks Falls nearby (view the waterfall, but no swimming)Great option for a peaceful, simple cabin stay close to Doe Lake. Come prepared and you’ll enjoy the quiet. Would stay again."

"My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay. We were pleasantly surprised with the 1 bedroom cottage (1 Bluejay). It was perfect! The cottage was clean, it had everything we needed. The king bed was comfy and the deck overlooking the water was relaxing and serene. We’ll be back!"
