Everything is so easy!
Fantastic stay, everything was easy, made some epic dinners and family time. The location is perfect hiking and there is lots to discover. Got the wood stove dialed on and was great for the couple days of rain. Love the area and we enjoy this coast. Thanks a million for making it so easy.

The cabin was great with a nice big kitchen to cook in and the Madeira Park area in particular is beautiful. Would recommend! :-)

A perfect getaway!
Fantastic! We stayed for 5 days with our son and his 3 kids all under age four. The house was so tidy when we arrived, with lots of comfy beds to choose from. Plenty of room for us to cook together with lots of table room in the dining room. The patio deck was a great place to sit and watch the kids play in the yard. Close to the beach/trails. Rob was a terrific host and we all enjoyed our stay!

Weekend getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It’s a lovely home in a beautiful setting. The kitchen had everything we needed, beds were comfortable and the big deck was a great place to relax and bird watch! We would definitely come back!

Beautiful cabin

Ladies Kayak Getaway Sept 13-16, 2022
This property is absolutely wonderful!! It is located in the woods of Madeira Park and is so quaint, quiet and comfortable. Feels like home away from home. There were six ladies sharing the house and we all had our own bed and shared two bathrooms. It was perfect. The beds were extremely comfortable. The house is lovely inside and out and contained everything you would need in a vacation rental. We were sitting outside on the deck the first morning after we arrived and were welcomed by a doe and two fawn. There were several more sightings of deer and a herd of elk. Travel time from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale is a lovely short ferry ride. We kayaked at Pender Harbor for two mornings and hiked in the afternoon. One hike was to Smuggler Cove and the other to Francis Point. Both are spectacular hikes with amazing coastal views. There is a hiking trail extremely close to the property. At the end of the driveway, turn left and the trailhead is at the end of the road. Our host, Rob was extremely wonderful to deal with. He provided all the information we needed for a smooth check-in and check-out and was only a text message or phone call away should we have needed him. There is a binder in the house containing favorite hikes both on foot or bike and favorite restaurants in the area. A couple of the local establishments we visited where there was excellent food was The Grasshopper Pub and Aqui Es Mexico where they serve a very tasty mango margarita. The only regret is that our trip was too short as we only stayed three nights. We highly recommend this property and give it a 5-star rating.

Great Family Getaway
Rob and Rachel's cabin was a perfect venue for our little family reunion. Highlights: Well equipped kitchen for 9 adults. Great outdoor space, which was framed in by beautiful mature trees. Short walk to trails and beach. Suggestions: Make the address sign a little more visible at the bottom of the gravel driveway. Thanks so much for everything!

Great quiet family adventure
We found this place for a large family vacation. Location was great, lots of trails and a short walk to a little cove perfect for swimming. The patio was fun to hang out during the day and watch birds and eagles. Highly recommend this place

Great home-plenty of room
This home was rented for a family vacation, 5 adults and 2 children. Lots of room for all of us, good layout with all the bedrooms. Great outdoor space for games. Nice walk down to Maderia Park. Good location to explore the local areas. Very quiet and peaceful.

Great vacation in Madeira Park
We were staying there for 4 night over the Labor Day weekend. Great property! Very comfortable and clean. Rob is a great host, very easy to communicate with. Keep in mind that the 4th bedroom is accually an open den/loft with no privacy at all. It's good for the kids, but not for the adults. I'd say it is a 3-bedroom house with the open loft. Other then that IT IS GREAT!

Thoroughly enjoyable, very well equipped house
Our entire extended family was able to comfortably spend time here. Well furnished with efficient sleeping quarters for everyone. Good central location to explore Pender Harbour and the Sunshine coast. Owners went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and share their local knowledge so we did not miss any of the great locations to explore.

We had a wonderful stay at Robs house! The property was very clean and tidy and had everything that we needed. It is in a quiet location and walkable to Francis Point Provincial Park, which is beautiful. You are quite close to a neighbour who shares the driveway, which is not obvious from the photos and isn’t a big issue but you aren’t as remote as the pictures may lead you to believe. Overall, fantastic stay!

Good getaway
A good place for our family to unwind and be together. The cabin is in the middle of the woods and a great place to just unwind. There were 8 of us (5 adults amd 3 kids) and I wished the couches were just a bit bigger to fit of all of sitting. The beds were comfortable (especially the blankets!) and Rob and Rachel answered all my questions before going. The top bedroom with three beds have two skylights so very Bright for our kiddos early on in the morning. Overall great time! Thank you for the lovely stay!:)

Beautiful cabin in the woods. Very clean, free of clutter. Stayed there with family and our 1.5 year old busy toddler. It was really kid friendly, no sharp edges, carpeted stairs, there were even some electrical plug s baby proofed :) toddler chair and utensils for toddlers :) Specious kitchen, dining area, bbq was outside but under covered roof, comfy beds, bedding, wood burning fireplace in the family room, lots of cut up firewood in the wood shed by the patio. Rob checked in on us the first day via msg go make sure we are doing well and have all we need - which was really appreciated All in all we had a wonderful time! And will be coming back for sure!

Great for kids!
From a family with kids perspective: Our two families stayed at this cabin with four kids under four. Pack and play in the home, no crib as shown in the photos (ok for our purposes though. high chair attachment to chair, kids plates/cutlery/bib. Fire place has glass doors, but will need to keep kids away from doors since they are hot. Lots of room outside to play and explore. In toddler pace (a.k.a stopping to eat, needing redirection x100) it took about 30 minutes from home to get to the water at Francis point park. For adults, I'd say like a ten minute walk.

Check in time was 4pm. We arrived at 3:50pm and were allowed in at 4. The house was clean but the oven was not that clean. The rooms were spacious and the beds and bedding were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and dishes, etc. the only complaint we have is regarding garbage. You require us to remove our garbage but you do not let us know where we could dispose of it. You already charge a cleaning fee - that should include garbage removal. This point caused us headaches as we had to search for a place for garbage disposal. We also used the self-clean function for the oven. Overall we were pleased with the accommodations.

Thanks for taking the time to review our place. I am sorry about the oven I will mention to my cleaners. You mention the check-in time I am confused to what you are speaking of sorry so I can't really help with this. Did you maybe expect to be let in early while my cleaners were there? Anyways I don't know what you mean. RE: Garbage complaint You are wrong in the handbook it clearly outlines where you can take your garbage and recycling. We cannot monitor what you choose to read or follow. You only stayed two nights I would like to think that you didn't have an huge amount of garbage. Thirdly, I question why you booked our place when you knew prior to booking that there was a cleaning fee (which doesn't cover the amount I pay my cleaners btw) and you knew you were responsible for garbage disposal. This confuses me. We are a family that prides our-self in being environmentally friendly so we hope with guests knowing that they need to take their garbage with them they will use wisely. Again I am sorry you were unhappy with a few things but again thank you very much for taking time to review your stay.

Wonderful relaxed vacation time
We were 4 adults on our short vacation. In this house we had everything. The only one problem is a garbage. Statement “ take with you” doesn’t solve the problem. Take where? To Vancouver? The rest was perfect and very comfortable. Thanks Rob.

Thanks to the owners of this property! The one part of the house which really delighted us (10 people, 3 generations) was the kitchen area... roomy enough for a multitude of chefs to assist in making a masterpiece for every meal.

It was awesome!!
The house is very clean and cozy with a spacious kitchen/dining area. 15 minutes drive to IGA, restaurants, and some other stores. It’s a little bit hard to find the house at first because we arrived in the evening and the property number was kind of hiding in the bush. But overall, we enjoyed our stay!

The IGA and liquor store in Madeira Park is aprox 6-8 minutes (to double check I am not losing it I just google mapped :) so future renters do know how close proximity to facilities we are. Quiet cabin in the woods
Lovely spacious house with comfortable beds. With a few improvements I would have given it 5 stars- curtains in one of the upstairs bedrooms, clean barbecue and frying pans, better equipped kitchen and wine glasses for all. Don’t miss going to the closet beach and walking out to the beacon!

We just replaced with 8 more wine glasses after your mention, bbq we are going to ad a charge if people don’t clean after use as requested, and curtain rod is repaired in the room it was pulled down from. Beautiful Coastal Getaway
We had a family getaway for a long weekend with 8 people. It was an amazing house with a fantastic kitchen! Plenty of room for everyone! The bathrooms were super with great showers and the soap, shampoo and conditioner were nice extras. Our only complaint was the lack of blinds/curtains in the large upstairs bedroom- made it really bright at night. But other than that....everything was exceptional!!!!

Clean, well situated and modern house
The house was easy to find and fantastically located: quiet and remote with lots of modern amenities,awesome kitchen and eating space and a nice small lounge which meant parents and kids could easily socialize and play. Nice big spacious deck with chairs and bbq was also well used. Luckily the kids are a little older else done things people may want to be aware of (E.g. No rails in deck) but a lot of this is self evident from the pictures. Rob was extremely responsive to the one message I sent,with a new bbq brush turning up the next day! Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Excellent property that was well suited for our multi family getaway
Great place to stay! The house was very well appointed and equipped with everything one might need, including things for the children. Access to the property was straightforward and easy. Plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen is fantastic. We spent most of our time gathered around the kitchen island baking and cooking. The surroundings are beautiful. Definitely recommend and we will put this on our list of places to revisit in the future. Liked the ample towels, shampoo and soap provided. House was very clean when we arrived. 5 out of 5 and one of our best VRBO experiences.
