"2/5 — Not in a hurry to return The room itself was fine — clean, a decent size, no complaints there. But it’s clearly overdue a refurbishment; it all felt a bit tired and dated. The real disappointment was breakfast. For what you’d expect from a hotel of this price, it simply wasn’t good enough. The hot food selection was baffling — sweet potatoes made an appearance, but basics like fried eggs and hash browns were nowhere to be seen. Worse still, what little was out had clearly been sitting there for some time and was barely lukewarm. There’s really no excuse for that. The room saves it from a one-star, but the breakfast alone would put most people off returning. It wouldn’t put me off staying in the area again — just not here."

"Large very clean quiet room. Comfy bed. All staff highly efficient and friendly. Re Breakfast Head Chef B had a highly efficient team this am. Breakfast fresh and hot despite it being a very busy time. Reception staff especially Andrea particularly helpful. Fantastic quiet location near Bristol Temple meads Station"

"I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel and our room, especially for the price compared to nearby options. The location is perfect, right across from a ferry landing and bus stop. Very walkable to many of the city’s attractions as well. It is the tallest building in the area and our room had a lovely view of the river and city from the 14th floor. The room was spacious, bed was cosy and there was a deep tub with shower combo. There is a mini-safe, mini-fridge, tea kettle and Nespresso maker. Free water bottles, various teas and Nespresso capsules were provided. The room has A/C and blackout curtains as well. All of the staff were very helpful and attentive. Special thanks to Shaz at the front desk who allowed us to checkout a little late without charge after our brunch ran long due to an order mix-up. Would definitely stay again!"

"The room was okay and good value for the centre of Bristol - some TLC needed in the rooms - warn carpets, dirty window frames - just gave the feeling of being grubby. When looking our the window you are overlooked by other rooms and this showed more signs of improvements being necessary - lead flashing falling off the roof. We had one drink in the bar and fruit flies were very evident. Not a bad stay but not perfect - just a need for for investment and some TLC!"
