This is an interesting place, a little odd with the swimming pool adjacent to the breakfast area, but historic and charming and comfortable. I encourage anyone unfamiliar with Lyon to plot this on a map when reserving. The location is great for exploring and mostly quiet, near some easy restaurants, a great art museum, some bakeries and shops- but on a tiny street rather than a major thoroughfare, which has both positive aspects for transportation as well as challenges for cars getting in. That said, I never had an issue, really. Breakfast is great with a delicious local cheese that I wished I could bring home and a very comfortable, though French-style tiny room. I felt safe here as a woman alone. Staff was consistently friendly and helpful. I will stay here again quite happily and recommend it to others.
