Great hotel with adjoining pub where we had dinner. All the people we dealt with were very friendly. Very quiet with large free car park.

Room 6.good except for access to wash hand basin, small and not easy to do your morning wash and shave.I ordered a ribeye stake for my evening meal it was tough as old boots.I was offered a replacement, but as I had eaten most of the side items I declined.the offer. I doubt That it was a ribeye steak, quarter of an inch thick with no Marbling and no fat at all. Beware if you have any mobility problems there are lots of stairs to room 6

Thank you for taking your time to write such a disappointing review.Yes, that room has a small sink, but unfortunately you forgot to mention that the room also has a lovely walk-in shower.We found the description you made of your Ribeye steak very confusing, especially as you had already eaten half of it. On that very same night we asked three individual guests their opinion of their steaks and the response was "tender, succulent and delicious". You were twice offered a replacement steak, which you declined, but you forgot to mention you accepted a free drink.Your room was just up one flight of stairs. Obviously, if guests have mobility problems, they let us know in advance which then enables us to allocate a down stair room. It's a shame you didn't let us know if you had disabilities.Both my wife and I work very hard to ensure our guests enjoy their visit. We tried from the moment you arrived to please you, but it soon became very obvious that this was to no avail.With very best wishes to you both.

Beautiful spot.
Had a wonderful stay at the Manor House we stayed in room 2 which was perfect as we had our little dog with us. The hosts were lovely made us very welcome we ate at the pub and the food was delicious. Our room was bright and airy with double doors into the garden it had plenty of tea and coffee which was great. The breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Another lovely stay at Exmoor Manor
Another lovely break at Exmoor Manor. We received a very warm welcome as always, we had excellent breakfasts at the Hotel and dinners in Beggars Roost and returned home feeling very refreshed. A big thank you to Jan and Kevin for looking after us so well.

The property was exactly as described. Easy access just off the main road, with easy access to footpaths to Lynton. Dog friendly, room nice and spacious, easy access to a beautiful green area for our dog. The adjacent pub had good choice of menu selections, and local ales. We ate there both nights, and were very pleased.

Kev and Jan are a lovely couple and fantastic hosts. The rooms are spacious, spotless and comfortable. I highly recommend a visit for a meal or stay over if you are in the area

We found the owners extremely welcoming, breakfasts were enormous but great, food in bar very good, we were made to feel very welcome and this added to us relaxing and enjoy our stay!!!

Very warm welcome on arrival, Kev chwcked us in and took our large heavy suitcase up to our room. Large double room, bright and airy, along with a super soft comfortable bed. With the pub attached to the manor house, it was great to be able to have a few drinks and something to eat without having to drive. Great beers on draught and a nice menu choice. So peaceful in the garden, theres even tables outside the rooms entrance door to sit and have a room made tea or coffee. Fabulous stay, highly recommended. Kev and Jan are truly lovely people and hosts.

Very friendly and helpful hosts. Quiet location and felt safe from the storms outside! Room pleasently decorated and bed very comfortable. Carpet was light coloured and had a few small stains, but it was clean. We loved the paintings in the room and around the corridors. Breakfast was plentiful with self serve tea, coffee, juices and cereals. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Exmoor Manor Hotel which has been nicely refurbished. The beggars roost , the attached pub and function room were decorated with lovely oak beams and looked like it could have been from Tudor times. The evening menu at the Pub is just right and can highly recommend the apple and blackberry crumble, its a must. The hosts , Jan , Kevin and team were very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them. We would definitely recommend a stay there as we plan to return ourselves.

Excellent stay
The service was excellent throughout our stay. We were upgraded to a larger room (as my partner is so tall!); when we said we wouldn't be there for breakfast one day due to an early start Jan brought us a tray of breakfast goods; the puddings in the adjoining pub restaurant were to die for. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the owners. We would whole heartedly recommend a stay here.

The accommodation was top class for the area, with our host’s being friendly and inviting. The attached pub offered a very good choice of beers and the food on offer was excellent. The only negative (if you can class it this as a negative?) was some of the steep, narrow, twisty roads you have to negotiate to get here (and also to get down to Lynton and also Lynmouth), but then, that is also part of the scenery that a lot of people look for and expect for this part of the country - the landscape and views in North Devon are absolutely fantastic!

Relaxing with stunning scenery.
We've just returned from a really pleasant 4 night stay. The team doing their utmost to comply to the covid regulations made our stay feel really safe and comfortable throughout. Continental breakfast was served in our room where we ordered as much as we wanted the night before. The pint of fresh milk in the mini fridge met my morning caffeine fix and meant I could save a breakfast pastry for an afternoon-tea treat too 👌 The bed was really comfortable and bathroom very large, with a roll top bath and separate shower too. If I was to recommend any enhancements it would be to have a small table so you don't have to sit on the bed for breakfast. Highly recommend the Sri Lankan curry in the attached pub. Unfortunately we wasn't aware that food availability was reduced to Tuesday to Saturday evenings until we arrived but we found plenty of choice in Lynmouth - although it was a drive down as too far to walk in the evenings. There was plenty of public footpaths on the doorstep too. Seeing a stag in the nearby field on our way down to Valley of the Rocks and Watersmeet was wonderful.

Pleasant Bolt-Hole In North Devon
Pleasant hotel close to Lynton and Lynmouth. Room was spacious and very well presented. Bathroom was very impressive with free-standing bath and separate shower. Despite the restrictions imposed by COVID-19, the hotel and public house provided a great service. Menu was limited by necessity but food was excellent.

A lovely stay
We were greeted with a friendly welcome by Jan, who was very approachable throughout our stay. The hotel was well situated on a quiet road within a short drive of Lynton and Lynmouth. Our room was large and well appointed. Due to covid, our room was not cleaned throughout our stay, which was not a great problem. Again, because of Covid, breakfast was continental style and delivered to our room. We ate at the attached pub, the beggars roost and the food and the service was great. We felt very safe in the current circumstances.

Our first excursion after COVID lockdown so a little anxious but everything was taken care of. The hosts did an excellent job of following the guidelines so we felt relaxed. Food was from a limited menu but understandable given the circumstances and was very good.

Amazing restaurant in the attached pub. Simple but lovely food in old medival style hall. Dog friendly and lovely for a drink on sofas around the fireplace even if not eating. Very friendly and helpful owner. Great location for exploring exmoor. Will definitely return in the future.

Lovely bank holiday stay
We had a lovely one night stay at the Exmoor Manor hotel, in a standard double room on the first floor. The room was comfortable and the bathroom new and gorgeous. Jan and Kevin were fabulous hosts, meeting is as we drove up and booking is a table in the restaurant next door where we had a delicious dinner. Great location within Exmoor with walks just outside the door and easy access to Lynton and Lynmouth. Hope to visit again!

I liked my stay, room was nice and spacious. Attention and service were outstanding! Setting was nice. Car park next to the entrance was also great. Pub and restaurant adjacent were priceless. Towels could do with a bit of an upgrade
