"Amazing place. Kids had such a great time feeding the ponies, playing on the trampoline and in the games room. The swimming pool was great especially having the whole pool to ourselves for an hour."

"We had a lovely stay. Cottage was perfect for two. Very cosy with everything we needed and very quiet. Very thoughtful touches left ready for us including a basket of logs for the fire and a hamper of goodies for our dog. Perfect location for exploring the area. We walked miles! Recommend a visit to Tar steps, Valley of the rocks and Baggy point. Also stunning beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton. Would recommend this cottage to everyone."

"This was ideal for me. I loved it here. It was really peaceful. I couldn't hear a thing apart from the birds and the occasional sheep. I stayed for 4 days and I wished it could have been longer. There is no TV in the hut which also suits me to the ground. The wi-fi is excellent so if you do want to watch something on an I pad or tablet you will have no problem with the reception.
There was a nice touch with tea making facilities and scones provided for the 4 days that I was there.

"Excellent room and hotel in general with pleasant staff however the food was very poor. Four star hotel but only offering poorly cooked pub food such as F&C, Scampi, Burgers, roast of the day etc.. nothing adventurous, no pasta, curries, no fresh fish although a few miles from the sea except fried cod from The North East I guess. It’s a fair walk to the next restaurant (a hotel) and we saw a Wetherspoons in Barnstaple which we didn’t fancy. We ended up on our last night of three collecting a sandwich from a garage and it was nicer than the previous nights F&C….
I hate writing a poor review as the staff were trying so hard and the hotel is excellent in all other aspects but someone at an executive level made the menu decision as apparently there used to be a bistro…..At 4* hotel prices one aspects 4* food to be available . I should have checked the web a bit closer I expect.
Also be aware breakfast closes at 9.00am weekdays (9.30am weekends) and when you’re on a break you need a bit more leeway. It’s an expensive “full English” at £17 and then offered Eggs Benedict at a £3 supplement that’s ludicrous. I suppose we are classed as elderly and so expect everything we need on site and not to have to drive for meals."
"An excellent freshly made hot and filling breakfast.
The cafe area was a welcome rest stop with a wide choice.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Easy access to the beach, railway station and town gave plenty to do."
"A small newly renovated room . Comfortable bed. Lovely indoor pool but very busy , they need to introduce swimming times. Did not try outdoor pool as weather not brill . Need a lift . "
"Plenty of parking, easy check in and out, clean comfortable room. Ground floor room, window latch broken, couldn’t have window open as very windy. Good to have restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner "
"My room was nice and clean very comfortable recently refurbished but the doors in the hallway needs soft closes putting on them instead of banging shut staff were really good. Food was nice. Good Wi-Fi good phone reception plenty of parking."
"Beautiful setting, lovely pool and small spa but with a great view. Food both breakfast and the evening meal were excellent. The room was clean and comfortable but had no view (we knew this when booking, but it actually looked over the roof not even the hill to the back, it was however very quite. I suspect the room would be very warm mid summer as we needed the window open in early May."
"From the lovely friendly welcome to the fond farewell, we could not have asked for a better place to call our home for 3 days, perfect location to walk along the south west coastal path to Valley of the Rocks, 5 min short walk to Lynton Town and 15 minute walk down to Lynmouth. Our room was perfect for the two of us, gorgeous view of the sea from our comfy bed and really peaceful. Sam and Annie are fabulous hosts, who cannot do enough for you, the breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection. We will certainly be staying here again and will be recommending to all our friends and family. "
