« We have just returned from a really lovely two night stay at the Wellington. The whole weekend from start to finish was very special and made even better by the staff. Particular mention must go to Ellie who managed a problem for us that was our fault but she went above and beyond to help us work it out. Callum is an absolute ray of sunshine, please don’t ever lose your sparkle and a big thank you to Isaac who carried on in Ellie‘s absence continuing to resolve our problem with great efficiency....

« Very old building, uneven floors gave it character. Very steep steps up to the accommodation level though. No parking, though I thought there was (I guess I misread the information about this place), nearest parking was just round the corner and cost £8 overnight, i.e. 24 hours. This was recommended by the staff when we arrived, not knowing where to park. Next day I asked at nearby Waitrose about free parking and they helpfully pointed out several on-street free parking marked bays which were...

« Why do hotel designers think it is OK to have an ensuite bathroom with no door? A curtain is not an adequate replacement for a door. This was a big issue for us. Also the only seating in our room was 1 dining chair and 1 stool when there was room for something more comfortable. I don't want to have to sit on the bed, particularly at the price this hotel came in at. Everything else was very good. »

« Rooms were pleasant enough and staff that checked us in were really friendly. No food options but in walking distance to plenty of places and town centre. Nice touch to leave out cereals etc for breakfast. Mirrors in bedroom/bathroom quite small so wasn’t the easiest to get ready. Cleaning staff knocking on our doors at 9:30 to ask us to leave keys in door (fine) but also reminding us check out was at 10 made us feel like we were being rushed out of our rooms (we knew what time check out was) »

« Chambre au dessus du restaurant de cet établissement charmant, typique et chaleureux. Le bâtiment est historique, ne cherchez pas une isolation phonique efficace, mais le lieu vaut le détour. La décoration de notre chambre semblait décalée -du mobilier tout en miroir?!- mais la salle de bain est jolie, actuelle et fonctionnelle . Le personnel est très jeune mais efficace , prévenant et attentif. Je recommande chaudement. »

On a eu une chambre avec baignoire jacouzzi, très appreciable. le seul bemol est qu'il n'est pas très bien isolé et on entendait un peu la route. Heureusement il est situé vraiment en campagne et il n'y a pas beaucoup de bruit. Donc cela ne nous a pas empeché de dormir »
