There are many additional details that make your stay comfortable and go above and beyond what other places do (e.g., dog basket, thoughtful items for kids, assorted food items). "Mid June was lush, everything was green and many flowers in bloom, just lovely. Lots of hiking, birding, some kayaking and Campobello. Had some fog but headed inland a couple days and found clear skies. The cottage is inviting & clean and the studio is inspiring - my husband paints in there. A nice surprise to find the wonderful veggies and greens from Far Out Farms in the fridge. Had a great time and already booked for next year. "

"We liked having the two separate buildings, the two large beds were really comfortable and clean. My dad mentioned the pull out couch smelled a little like dog. Bathroom was a little small but we were able to make do. The hot water was almost instant and got really hot, which was nice and relaxing. We didn't have any dogs with us for this stay, but I appreciate the fenced in yard. The only major complaint we had was the door lock system. The main building unlocked easily enough, but to lock it again the shimmy-shake only worked from time to time. The lobster lair lock worked fine for 1.5 days, and then it didn't. Thankfully, Sophie was super speedy in rescuing us and we were able to get it unlocked after climbing through the window. Lol otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay. Lots of birds around, didn't see any seals or whales this time, but beautiful sunsets were great!"
