"Really nice property close to the trout pond. We loved the screened porch, deck, but most of all the kids cabin!!! It was great to have a separate space with toys, books, and games. We didn’t bring a dog, but this place seems ideal if you have one. Another nice bonus , there’s a little general store about 5 minutes away to pick up last minute items-very convenient. We loved it, hope to come back next year."

The views were breathtaking, the energy was infectious, and the entire experience gave us exactly the reset we were looking for.If you’re considering a mountain retreat and an escape from the energy of DC, this is your stay. "Great location to Lost River State Park if you don't want to stay in a cabin. Host was responsive when I sent a message to let them know we checked in, but otherwise was completely silent. There's actually a trumble bed in one of the rooms, which we didn't realize until too late (not specified in the listing). Easy and convenient and clean place to stay."
