Fantastic place for family reunion with all ammentities
The Casa is as advertised, views, roomy, everything you could ask for a family reunuion! we enjoyed the views, the plunge pool, everything! It is spacious yet open. We felt right at home, and the kitchen is loaded with everthing you need to cook fantastic meals! We would reserve this place again! Clean and quiet!

Tres Palapas sooooo close!
This was our second time staying at Casa Las Estrellas and it most certainly did not disappoint! We absolutely LOVE the accommodations and the location to Tres Palapas is pure perfection! They made sure to keep our specific request in mind as we checked in and we had a seamless stay! I would HIGHLY recommend this gorgeous VRBO as it offers so many unique qualities that a hotel just doesn’t. You can sleep four couples easily as each floor is completely separated. The home is SO clean and comfortable. The only issue was the internet/TV reception one of our 4 days, but they seemed to have fixed that quickly. Can say enough about how much we adore this place and we would rate it more than 5 stars if possible!

Better Than The Photos
My family had a fantastic stay at this house. Everything was beautiful and even better looking than the photos. We could see whales from the balcony where we drank our coffee. We spent our afternoons lounging near the pool and cooling off in the refreshing water. You can drink the tap water which was so convenient. We cooked at home a lot and the kitchen was well equipped for everything we needed to feed a group of 6. Everything was very clean. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and we had plenty of room to spread out. We would definitely come back to stay at the lovely home.

Tamra’s property in Esmeralda area of Los Barilles was everything we wanted for our family Christmas away. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. Sunrises and moonrises wonderful easy access to “rip” in to town on our rented ATVs - so fun!

Perfect for us with adult children and their Families
We had 6 adults and our 2 year old granddaughter staying. There was nothing that we did not like. We loved it! The house was roomy allowing us to spread out in different areas for my granddaughter’s naps and accommodating different bedtimes for the adults. We loved to be able to be close to town but still have the quiet of being out of town for just having a walk. When at the house we used the pool to sit around. A couple of us also enjoyed having a hot tub watching the sunrise in the mornings. It was so nice that there were toys for our granddaughter to play with avoiding us buying them. Having an umbrella and chairs for the beach was also a bonus. While we did not think about it when booking, having water from the tap that we could drink certainly made things easy. We had a few communications with Tamra and the property managers and each time responses were received quickly. We certainly will be booking this again when returning to Los Barriles.

This place is FANTASTIC!
Wow!! What a great place for 4 couples to stay & play. The property is beautiful. Everything is very high quality. From the filtered water to the jacuzzi on the deck to the pool in the backyard.. The upstairs living area was great for making dinner and having 8 person parties. The location; just a short walk from Tres Palapas Pickleball Resort, was ideal. We all agree we’d come back to this property again!!

Our stay at this home was lovely for the most part. The home was large enough for three family groups to each have some private space with plenty of room to gather together when desired. It is close to the beach, has a lovely yard that is relatively kid-friendly, and has amazing 360 degree sunsets. The upstairs kitchen was amply supplied with quality dishware, cookware and utensils, although the downstairs kitchen was much smaller and less convenient to use. This was ok for our purposes. We did have an extended power outage and the hot water heater has a design flaw that made it stop working continuously until we realized we needed to prop the door to the water heater closet open for it to function. This was a problem for our group as several of us had only cold showers for the first 3 days of our stay. Also since we had small children in our group, having that closet open was one extra hazard that we needed to monitor for. (We were concerned one of them may have become trapped if the door closed on them or that they would tamper with the settings.) The surroundings are charming, quiet, and private with minimal contact with neighbors. Our family enjoyed our time in this beautiful home very much.

Close to Tres Palapas and the beach
This property was absolutely incredible! The manager was prompt with responses, the property is gorgeous and well appointed and super super clean. The ac works very well and you also get a nice breeze so you won’t need it de pepón the time of year. The beds were really comfortable and the sheets were very soft. The only thing that we wished we could get to work was the jacuzzi. We stayed with a group of friends (7 total upstairs and down) and we walked to Tres Palapas for Pickleball every day. After four days of all day play, we really looked forward to soaking. Hopefully they will have it fixed by next time. The pool was delightful and clean. Can’t stress the beauty of the property enough! If you’re wanting to go to the beach, it’s a few steps away and of course the world class Pickleball resort Tres Palapas is literally two doors down. AMAZING AMAZING PLACE! Thank you again!

A vacation to remember
Communication was always timely and efficient from day one of our renting experience. The area itself was a wonderful surprise and the house very well stocked and lovely. The grounds too. Relaxed, quiet and a feeling of being "at home". Would definitely recommend! Activities we enjoyed were swimming with the whale sharks in La Paz (a full day of adventure and easy to book a driver) while closer by, the rental of ATVs to explore the area. Pickle ball courts a short walk away along with a nice little cafe. Town itself not within easy walking distance but again, there are drivers. The beach is rocky but easy to walk on with some fun shell collecting options. All in all A+

I’m sorry that your stay was less than favorable. As I mentioned to you previously if I would have heard from you sooner, I would have had those items remedied right away by my responsive property manager. my contact info was shared with you when you made the booking and property manager phone numbers as well as my direct phone number to the US was in the welcome books inside the home. That being said, I arrived the next day And the recliner was repaired. We had no issues with the hot water. The faucet handle that was broken was not reported by the previous renter and was in working order prior to your stay. That has also been remedied. Unfortunately, the scorpion and the white bugs are part of nature and although I perform regular extermination for pests within our home and in the yard , we do have some unwanted visitors in Baja on occasion. I’m sorry that your experience was not a good one but in looking at all past reviews you will find these complaints are a first for us. It is unfortunate you will not be staying with us again and exercising the compensation I am offering.

Loved it all
We had an enjoyable time at this home. We arrived the day right after Hurricane Kay happened and so there was a few small things but they addressed everything quickly. The house is great! We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, deck and amenities of home! The hot tub did not work but we really didn’t care because it was so hot outside anyway. Owner was very organized and responsive and I would recommend this home to anyone… especially those who love pickleball! We played at Tres Palapas every day and throughly enjoyed ourselves. Beach by the home wasn’t great but that was only because the hurricane had just hit and there was alit of rock and debris.

So happy you loved the home and Tres Palapas pickle ball nearby. It really is such a cool place and there are so many extra amenities there. Regarding the hot tub, we are on it. Note that it does take a significant amount of time to reheat after we shut down for a storm. You ladies were so brave to keep your plans in spite of weather and rain. We hope you come back and see the beach in post tropical storm form - still rocky but amazing snorkeling and the most quiet, private beach walks. Safe travels!

Safe Haven to unplug from the world
The property was beautiful . It has the Mexican charm that you seek when you stay in Mexico . BIG PLUS is the generator ! It appears that it’s typical to lose power there quite often and we are so happy that we had it ! The location is close to a beach but didn’t find it suitable for swimming especially with children . It is a great place to really unwind and enjoy family time and great place for star gazing too !

Family getaway to Los Barriles
Just a short walk to the beach where there was the most amazing snorkeling. On non windy days I was out on my SUP which was so good. Saw and heard a lot of the Mondela Rays jumping out of the water. My husband brought his windsurf gear and was able to launch from the beach up the road or just a short drive away. We brought our elderly parents who got the main level of the house and our family was on the upper level. The star gazing was incredible!! Loved the sun rises from the upper deck hot tub in the morning! We did have to light the boiler when we arrived and the upper door lock was a little tricky, and the last day the power went out so the generator kicked in. It was a little worriesome getting our online covid tests done with out internet but a hotspot worked and then it was no problem. Otherwise the house was well stocked in the kitchen and we used the beach umbrella and chairs a number of times. Laundry was great and we used the line to dry. My two teenagers loved the pool as well as one of the grandmas! Had a bbq on the grill down by the pool by collecting driftwood from the beach. Amazing. Such a relaxing holiday for all of us. I recommend renting ATVs from CAN DO Quads. Alex was great and we had a good time. Would definitely come and stay again.

The house is great, lots of balconies, separate units above and below accommodated the parents with 2.5-year-old downstairs, grandparents and others above. Pool (not fenced) was chilly but enticing after a stroll on the beach. Hot tub was most welcome too. No complaints, highly recommended.

We loved this home. Only three of us visiting this time. It’s actually two separate apartments - upper and lower with two separate entrances. The second floor apartment was our favorite. We only used the lower apartment for my teenager to sleep. The upper apt is bright and airy with the perfect, easy, no fuss kitchen. Spent most of our time on the balcony with the lovely view of the ocean. Great view from the upstairs bedroom as well. Great neighborhood. The closest beach was a bit rocky for us but no sweat to take our atvs down the way a bit. Pool was too chilly for us but we used the hot tub and loved. The cleaners were still there at 5:00 despite the 4:00 check in time but who cares-No biggie. A few of the locks/keys on the doors didn’t seem to work well but we managed fine and always felt safe regardless. Beach chairs, umbrella and some beach toys were provided which we loved to use! I’m thankful for our stay and to the owners of this property for allowing us to use it. 🤗

great family home
This is our second time staying at this house. We love the location. The house feels very private and safe, but it's still in a nice neighborhood. The pool is great. It's not huge, but it's great for relaxing and our young kids always have a good time in it. The balcony is my favorite spot. The view of the ocean is great and it gets a wonderful breeze. The house has everything you could need, including pretty good internet. My family stays upstairs, and my in laws stay in the bottom unit. It's great to have a little more personal space for everyone. It's a house I know we'll keep coming back to.

Idyllic Beach Vacation
This beach house is in a great little town. We loved being able to walk down to the beach any time, enjoy the beautiful views from the balcony and roof, use the well-stocked kitchen to prepare the mahi mahi we caught, walk down to Tres Palapas for pickleball, soak in the hot tub, cool off in the pool, spend time together around the fire, and get many restful night sleeps. We rented ATVs to explore the arroyos nearby and the snorkeling beach near punta pescadora. We went on a fun snorkeling/deep sea fishing excursion from Los Barriles. This was an amazing vacation and the house was perfect for us! There was plenty of room for our family of 8–three couples and 18 and 20 year old guys. We love the laid back vibe of the town and all the adventure in the area. Thanks for everything!

Pickleball people this is close to Tres Palapas
Great location for pickleball players Players. The upper level apartment has beautiful ocean views and a four person hot tub that was very clean. Three of us stayed in the lower level apartment and it was also very comfortable with nice beds and bedding. Small hiccup in the beginning was quickly resolved. Couldn’t get the washer to work due to a power outage but sure that is taken care of now. I would stay here again for a pickleball trip. We used Cynthia from Tres Palapas as a personal chef one night and it was our favorite meal of the week. Be sure to look her up!

Tamra's house is in an excellent location in Los Barriles. She is very close to a small beach. The pool was a very nice amenity in July. The sunrise view from the deck is also really beautiful.

Great family home!
We had such a great stay in Casa las Estrellas! It was wonderful to have the two living areas separated from each other. We have a teenage son who enjoyed having his own space. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed, and we enjoyed many meals on the upper patio! We enjoyed star gazing nightly and loved the fire pit! Overall I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a beach vacation!

Well-Equipped Property in a Safe and Quiet Destination
We had a great stay in the house. The house is laid out well in two discrete units, which works well if you're travelling with two or more families and some extra space and separation is useful. The decks are beautiful and everything about the house was comfortable and well arranged. Everything you need is already here: pool toys, beach gear, sand toys. Good to go. We drank the water in the house without any issues. We did have some issues with the hot water in the house but it was handled well with great communication from the owner and good communication and help from the local manager. Disappointing, but these things happen and it was handled as well as could be expected. No complaints overall. The star of our trip was our caterer Norma (Google Norma Los Barriles and you'll find her.) She did our dinners every night during the trip, and it was great food for a great price. If you're travelling with kids this is an arrangement that can't be beat. We arrived at dinnertime on a Sunday and her daughter Dayanna had appetizers ready to go. There were leftovers for breakfast (add an egg!) or lunch every day for our whole group. Los Barriles was pretty much everything we'd hoped for. Quiet, fairly inexpensive, good food, laid back. You will need a car to get in and out of town, or an ATV rental, I suppose. We did a day trip to La Paz (pass,) Balandra Beach (incredible,) and Punta Pescadoro (interesting.) Otherwise we bummed around town, played on the beach, played a little pickleball, etc. Next time I might consider taking some extra time to get supplies in Cabo before heading north, or taking a daytrip back to Cabo to resupply. Groceries in town are available but were a little pricey compared to the Wal Mart in La Paz.

Great location, great views, quiet, close to the beach. Jose was an awesome property manager. The downstairs and upstairs are basically separate apartments which worked out well for our extended family which includes small children.

Yep, It’s Heavenly!
The house was lovely. Everything was very comfortable, and in fact had more than we needed or used....phew! In order for this to be of most use to future guests, I will list the pros and cons: Pros -Checking in is exceedingly easy! -The property manager, Jose, is an absolute miracle! Who knew there were people like him left in this world!? We showed up with no rental car (long story, suffice to say, not intentionally) and no food. No worries - Jose hooked us up with a rental car the next morning and we went shopping. Food is a plus. He did other little kindnesses for us all week, and I truly feel as though I’ve made a friend for life :) - views from the 2nd floor and 3rd story rooftop are incredible! - the pool was lovely, and my niece very much enjoyed the hot tub at night. - the King sizes bed in the 2nd floor master was, hands-down, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. Ever. And I’m not young, so that’s a lot of bed-sleeping. Not only that, but the sheets were incredible. It was very difficult to get out of bed each morning (not just because of my arthritis). - the living space in the upstairs unit was spacious and very comfortable. - DISH TV was turned on for a few minutes and worked just fine (but mostly it was nice not to know what horrors were going on in the world). - internet was very consistent, but not very strong. But hey, we really didn’t need to be connected every single minute, right? - the owner has very nice taste in glass, and margaritas and all sorts of others things can be supped from beautiful art glass :) - we were hillbillies and did not partake of the bidet, but I’m sure it’s a lovely option. Cons - the gas stove and oven did not work for us. At the very end, the cleaner came over and managed to get burners working by banging on them hard and holding the lighter next to them for a full minute ;). - this house really isn’t “steps to the beach,” unless you mean like 200....it’s a great house and it would still rent just as easily if it said “two blocks to the beach...” - two full hot cycles on the dryer didn’t really dry our light clothes, so the next day we were given a wide berth in our sour clothes. Oh well - their loss. I’m sure this problem would be easy to solve - probably just needs to have its vent and filter cleaned of lint. -the house is really set up as two 2-br apartments, and it would be good to be able to rent them that way! Overall, this was an AWESOME stay!

Thank you for this lovely review. I'm glad you enjoyed the home and found it to be "more" than you needed and not "less" than advertised. I love that bed as well! I worked hard to make sure the sheets and all provided are comfy and inviting. I'm so happy you appreciated those efforts. I checked with our property manager who has inspected the oven and stove a well as the dryer after your checkout. He states that all is in working order and the propane tank was full. You can be sure I will double check these items to make sure they are in the best working order. Regarding distance to the beach, this property was disclosed as being between the beach and the Tres Palapas pickleball resort as well as being steps to the beach. I also included a map pinned to the listing for guests review. I apologize if the steps were a few more than you had hoped for. We are not advertised as being on the beach. I am happy to hear that you enjoyed the sweeping ocean views which are one of the greatest benefits of being a bit further back. It was nice getting to know you via messages and texts. I hope the refund I provided for cleaning helped with your feelings of not needing the whole property that was advertised and booked. As you were late arriving by 2 days, I also refunded $200 towards a night which is not customarily done if the property has been pre-booked and cancelled outside of the cancellation period. great family home
We really enjoyed our stay at the house. The location is in a nice quiet neighborhood with a very short walk to the beach. The house has a nice pool and beautiful outdoor space. We had fun making a fire in the fire pit and relaxing in the hot tub. We stayed with some extended family and it was great to have the upstairs unit for our family and the extended family in the unit downstairs. Its a very quick and easy drive into town and there are plenty of restaurants close by. The beds were comfortable and the AC units worked well. The kitchen is great and has everything you could need for your stay. It's a nice home and the decor is charming and not overwhelming.

Beautiful, Relaxing and Exceptional Baja Experience
This house is located in Los Barriles, a quaint town about an hours drive from Los Cabos International Airport. Lots of eating options for a town that small with almost zero touristy feel to it. Everyone rides ATVs to get around, which is a unique aspect to the community that we liked. Everything closes at 10pm, so it's a place to relax and decompress. Lots of expats live in the area and everyone is very nice and welcoming. Very safe. We loved it, especially after staying in Cabo for a few days - it was a nice contrast to experience. The house itself is a little north of town. It it nicely furnished, not fancy, but perfect for the price. We had 10 people and everyone had their own bed with plenty of room to hang out. There is wifi, although spotty, satellite TV, fully equipped kitchen to cook anything you'd want and plenty of outdoor space to hang out. The pool is not heated so it's pretty cold to do more than take a quick dip, but there is a hot tub to enjoy. I'm sure the pool is perfect during warmer months. The house also has a washer and dryer which is nice if you're on a longer vacation. Jose, the property manager, was awesome. He will take care of any requests or questions you have. Very few negatives on this house for the price point - the bedding is pretty warn and could use an update, the wifi is spotty, toilet paper/paper towels are not provided, not enough bath or beach towels to accommodate the amount of people it can sleep, and even though the beach is a short 5 minute walk, it is rock and not really swimmable nor can you lay out. You'll need to go closer to town to find a swimmable beach that you can hang out on. Rent some ATVs, eat cheap tacos, have Jose reserve a boat for you, walk to the Tres Palapas Pickleball Resort to grab your morning coffee, and enjoy this wonderful community like a local. You'll feel right at home.

Thank you for this thorough review. I will make it a point to replace the sheets and to add more towels and beach towels to make it more comfortable for future visitors. I appreciate your comments on the beach but we do swim there and drop in for paddle boarding and kayaking when the ocean is calm. When we want more of a stretch, we jump on the arroyo and shortcut avoiding town and save about 5 minutes. Sometimes, I enjoy the ride through town just to check out the action. We certainly do appreciate your comments and will do our best to make this a fun adventure for you again and for new visitors. Thank you :)
